he stops as he hears his name being called.

turning around, ignoring the flashes of cameras and the voices of the reporters.

“Here,” Sage places an extra pager into his hand, her eyes looking right into his.

“Take this…it’s for emergencies and emergencies only,” she adds, he glances down at the pager, wondering why she’s giving him this.

“If you or anyone ever needs me…use this. I’ll be there.” Johnny looks at the girl, he hesitates, but nods his head at her demand.

“I don’t do well with these kind of people and I have to get back to Carol,” Sage comments, upset that she has to leave so soon without saying goodbye to Reed, Sue, Ben and baby Franklin.

Their hands drifted apart, but Johnny grips the girl into a gentle squeeze, his head nuzzling into her shoulder, Sage does the same, only lasting for a few seconds before separating.

“I’ll see you around flame boy,” Sage says her final words.

Johnny stares as she makes her way to the doors of the Future Foundation building, he shoots the girl a smile and she copies.

“You too, Nightlight.”

And she’s off as fast as the speed of light.
