Is an LED Printer too ambitious?
I'm trying to wrap my head round the optional briefs we've been given recently, I'm going to be honest and say none of them inspire me - this is most likely due to my lack of attention bodies of text written in language that I can only describe as slightly over expressive. It's taken me an hour just to really decode their meaning.
The one that I have found most understandable being one about digital and print and how to bring them together instead of having them as two separate entities.
My current thoughts is it'd be great to make an LED printer. Using something similar to this http://picprojects.org.uk/projects/simplergb/index.htm as the means of displaying the image on a track (post likely using pullies) to slowly move across as space, much like how an ink jet operates (to get it's picture you'd have to have a camera set on 'bulb'). The question here is how to code it as someone who hasn't the foggiest when it comes to code and the various languages.
I'd love to be able to just click "Print" and watch it run out but it's not that simple. Though sometimes simple isn't a bad thing for instance Penjet but most of them have already been done.
I feel I may be having a constant headache over this for the next four weeks if I actually try to create it... it might be too expensive anyway.
