Punk Technician aesthetic?
a list of things and places in my schools theater that i’ve fallen asleep on/in
- a chair.
- under the light desk in the booth
- on the catwalk (2x in one day)
- the dressing room (during a dance party)
- my friends shoulder (many locations)
first g&s done! yeomen of the guard was a lot of fun, but i’m quite happy to have it done and over with!
holy crap that was an experience
tech week is really just ‘i’m about to dress as punk rock as possible but also have a completely functional outfit for everything i’m doing’
stretchy pants, work boots and a fitted shirt (not tight enough to be dysphoria but not loose enough to get caught on shit) a warm jacket for rehearsals and then a blazer with all my pins for the shows (bc this time im also working lobby crew and we’ve gotta be a little more presentable but still in all black)
my fav thing is being able to wear black shirts with designs on them and then just turning them inside out during runs
You know that part in The Great Gatsby when Gatsby is throwing his shirts everywhere and Daisy is crying? Yeah, that's pretty much me whenever I see good lighting design.
I once went to a concert with my choir and started crying because the lighting was so good.
I'm so excited to be working at The Olney Theatre starting on the 4th. I've missed theatre and working on lights.
