I wanted to share with my followers a simple Packaging Design Challenge that I faced this year. Unexpectedly, I won against 20 something other boxes (runner-ups are in the last photo) and the manufacturer’s container.
Some of the parameters going into it were:
-attractive design
-one-piece construction
-cardboard or recyclable material
-Lightbulb operational after drop testing from 6,12, and 20 feet. (Somehow this absorbed the impact of a 2 story drop and still worked.)
I created the box with Adobe Illustrator and a Laser Cutter
