Loving how she was curled into his side, Jacob smiled more at the caress to his cheek. There was nothing he would change about being here with her, in her arms like this today, without anything else to think of or worry him.
“Oh, Pan…?” Jacob’s eyebrows went up a little in surprise at his girlfriend’s soft, smiling words, he was struck a bit speechless. Surely, in some part of his mind he knew she must be right but never in his memory could he recall her telling him so. I love your sense of humor. or something like that, not this. This made his heart feel light and his smile grow into a grin.
“Do you know how many times I’ve wanted to tell you, I love you?”
He wanted to laugh, to kiss her, he wasn’t sure. All he was sure of was that he was happy as he leaned up to kiss gently, messily.
