I like cancelled plans. And empty bookstores. I like rainy days. And thunderstorms. And quiet coffee shops. Most of all I like the small joys that a simple life brings.

October is a vast hall ill with silence, caffeine-scented contemplation in paintings of memories you should drop,

November is haunted with cold whistly winds and fires ignited by an ache for what is new and the ache peaks on top,

And December supposedly... supposedly i say, is graves for all what does not serve you; the chauffeur taking you to next stop.

This time of the year is a heavy quarter indeed,

Days either drear or filled with optimistic greed.
