#lighten without bleach

Hi there! c: My hair is a light/medium brown right now and i want to lighten it to that colour in between light brown and dark blonde, if you get me xD Do you know anything that will gradually lighten my hair? I don't want to use bleach at all :c Thank you :)

I’m afraid you won’t be able to lighten your hair without bleach, or rather, you can, but any lightener can be just as harmful as bleach. 

To steer away from the very harsh chemicals choose a box dye with no ammonia and lovely oils and things in it (so many are advertised these days). You only have to lighten your locks 1-2 levels so it should be easy. Always check the sides of the box to make sure your colour will result in your desired end colour. To do it very gradually, its best to go to a salon and get them to use foils to lift the colour over a few sessions.

hey, i want to ombre my hair but at the moment it is a brown/auburn colour. i dont want to bleach it, is there any way i can lighten it so the ends are lighter than the top?

 Unfortunatly if you want ombre and you want it lightened you'll have to use something to lighten it. You can use a blonde dye with a lightener in, but its developer and not hugely different to bleach. I know some people are scared of bleach and to be honest, if you want a particular shade of blonde you might be better buying a box dye, make sure that on the side, it shows your colour hair being lightened to the colour you want. Use gloves to apply with fingers in a downwards pulling motion to blend.
