Lee infant gown from the collection
The costumes in historic collections are invariably some of the most popular (but also generally most delicate) of museum holdings.
This infant gown from the Lee family is one of those treasures in the Stratford Hall collection. It was on display in our museum galleries for such a long time that it now lives a life of dark storage for the most part, aside for some recent object conservation and a special exhibit or two. - Gretchen, Curator
