The Window She Never Opened
She had a window in her room that she never opened. It looked out to a street full of noise, movement, and unpredictable life. She told herself she liked the quiet, that the world outside didn’t have anything to offer her anymore. But deep down, she feared what change might bring.
One morning, sunlight slipped through the glass in a way she couldn’t ignore. She walked to the window, placed her hand on the latch, and opened it for the first time in years. The fresh air felt unfamiliar but comforting. And in that small moment, she realized, sometimes healing is just the courage to let a little light in.
