My halfling bard Leyley may have almost died a couple times in our campaign, but he won't let something silly like that affect his bright and cheery disposition!

If you hear snoring close to a nearby tree on the forest trail, it's probably this little guy
Character concepts for a DnD campaign I'll be joining soon,,,, I have a few more concepts in mind but currently this is just a quick 5-minute doodle of my top 4 ideas to play lol
my newest dnd character for an upcoming campaign, everyone, meet Idavyre Emberroot
「halfling fighter (soldier background.)」
「lawful chaotic」
brief backstory: 「 Young Idavyre one day wondered off from her parents care, her family being already overwhelmingly large and unmanageable, her dissappearance wasn't really taken note of.
upon wondering through the nearby forest Ida stumbled across a local soldier camp; finding this lone toddler came as a great surprise to the camp, they searched for her family but no one came to claim her, this lead to the camp members becoming a large adoptive family for the young girl; from there Idavyre began learning how to be a soldier, always a headstrong girl, constantly helping others out however possible. 」
Otis and Veth both trying to hide behind Fjord:
No one really knows what lurks in the depths...
Gorgeous art by @swearwolfcola of my character June! Left is early game, right is late game after receiving more powers from her patron.
Of all the humanoid races, humans are by far the most populous, now outnumbering the elder races by several times over. The reasons for this oddity are twofold: fecundity and adaptability. Humans reach reproductive age in a mere decade and a half, and then begin to have children at a rate of up to one per year. For this reason alone, their numbers replenish far faster than elves, dwarves, and gnomes, and even faster than halflings. Among the civilized races, they are the most fecund; and among the savage races, they still rank highly. Orcs match them, while goblins and kobolds exceed them--but the cultural tendencies towards evil in the savage races tend to increase their death rate as well, offsetting this first factor. Humans are also unique in being considered both a civilized AND savage race, depending on local culture. Which leads us to the second reason for their vast numbers: adaptability. In this aspect, the human race is without peer. Human settlements can be found in virtually any environment, climate, biome, and condition. They practice every form of government, behave according to every alignment, and engage in cultures that vary more wildly than any other race BY FAR. Anarchic entities, such as slaadi, are individually changing and unpredictable, but humans change as a group and stay changed as long as necessary to survive. Because of this, humans are able to spread and migrate freely, adapting to local conditions and permitting their extreme fecundity to grow unchecked across every plane they inhabit.
