Behold the lightlings
Theyre holding your funeral today how many cupcakes you want in ur coffin
Lightlings are the denizens of the Light World, a lush and fruitful place. They live in scattered kingdoms and constantly war with each other. They aren’t exactly strong, but they tend to rally around the individuals that are and overwhelm opponents through sheer willpower and numbers. If the entire population were to rallied together into a single army, they would most certainly be a force to be reckoned with. They aren’t very fond of the Darklings because they were invaded a couple centuries ago in an all-out war, but managed to repel the Darklings.
Zer0 is an orphan who ended up being trained by 100% during his exile into the Light World. It was recently brought to light the Darkling’s reason for exile and that he was intending on getting into the good graces of the Lightlings so that he could take over. Zer0 swore to stop him at all costs, and banished 100% back to the Dark World before gathering his own team of heroes. (I can’t take this dude seriously when I accidentally drew him with a freaking egghead)
Jason was a close friend of Zer0 before the Lightling disappeared in the wake of his parents’ deaths. Jason moved on to train as an assassin, but when Zer0 suddenly surfaced with a plea for help, Jason quickly assigned himself as the young man’s silent guardian.
Lyn was a nobleman’s son who excelled at archery. He joined Zer0′s group mainly to get away from his family, who had started insisting he put down the bow to focus on politics. He’s a surprisingly hard worker who takes every opportunity to train or try to do good.
Don.....is weird. Interestingly enough, it was Don who approached Zer0, and it is still unknown why he choose to devote himself and his noble steed, Don, to Zer0′s cause. He is an expert at maneuvers however, and the team quickly found themselves relying on him and his flying narwhal to get them in and out of places safely.
Scorch is one of the most powerful mages, even compared to Darkling mages, but is unfortunately cursed with the mind of a young child and has trouble distinguishing who she’s supposed to be roasting. Her powers are entirely fire-based, but she tends to alternate between clever techniques to wield fire in unorthodox ways and simply brute-force blasting her way through everything.
Asis is possibly one of the most outwardly mysterious characters in the whole series (at least Don doesn’t do random scenes of contemplation in the background). He is the self-appointed guardian of the balance between the two Worlds, and the limits to his abilities have never yet been tested. Scorch is one of the few people who seems to actually know him though.
