I wrote a little spooning prompt fill during my chill Christmas afternoon. :) I hope your Wednesday was lovely no matter how the holidays show up in your life. If you're reading this I love youuuu.

The Big Holiday Spoon

They hosted the Catan gang for a white elephant bingo edition of game night last Saturday to celebrate the holidays. Carlos had fun, though he’s not sure what he’ll do with a two-tier makeup briefcase. Nancy was only too delighted to hand off the colorful contraption sent by her grandmother and unfortunately nothing else was appealing enough to trade for. Mateo even ate his gift before anyone could consider a trade there. Afterwards, TK tried to add a guessing game, because he (has the patience of a two-year-old) has trouble living with his wrapped presents from Carlos displayed under the tree since the day it went up. Carlos can’t help that he’s organized! Except Marjan suggested TK exact revenge instead of guessing. At her instruction he’s refused to confirm whether he bought any gifts for Carlos and won’t put a thing under the tree until Christmas, well today.

Happy Valentine's Day my loves!

I present this prompt fill for @paperstorm's 19. Bakery AU involving an abundance of Valentine's cookies/cupcakes -

“I’m Carlos,” he says, holding out his hand. “Carlos Reyes, first responder. Ordered two dozen cupcakes.” The man giggles again. Carlos wants to pick him up and carry him home. “TK Strand,” he says, with a warm hand and a surprisingly strong handshake. “Two dozen vegan, monkfruit cupcakes for my team, courtesy of my health nut father.” “Ah ha!” Carlos returns, receiving several answers about his order at once. But wait. “Strand? Your father’s captain of the 126.” Did he really just tell a stranger about his own dad? TK smiles kindly, choosing to be merciful about having this information. “Yep, for a little while now. I’m surprised we haven’t worked with you, Officer Reyes." Oh, Carlos likes the sound of his name in TK’s mouth.

 It's Exes to Lovers in One Bed!

After two years apart, TK & Carlos find themselves face to face at a three-day training event for Texas first responders. Hotel error leads to a rocky start that only grows more uncomfortable as the minutes tick by, until a chance seating arrangement changes everything.

Flirting leads to passion, then misunderstanding and ultimately the heart to heart they've each been craving. It's only by confessing their deepest regrets, unwavering attraction and hopes for the future that they find a way forward together.

My Mom Thinks I'm Great

The host brings two fingers up to his mouth to stifle a little chuckle and then explains, “Oh I see. Yes, your mother brought you here to have dinner with this gentleman.” He gestures towards TK in the booth. “She said you didn’t know what he looked like.” He leans in closer to Carlos and holds up a hand to the side of his mouth so that TK can’t hear the rest, “and would be nervous, so she wanted to help get you to the table and then disappear for your big date.” Carlos’ eyes grow wide. “My big what?” “Um.” The host is starting to look pale, darting his eyes back to his stand longingly. “I’m not quite sure? It seems-” “It’s fine,” TK butts in from the booth, “we’ll be fine, thank you.”  The host accepts that immediately and walks away quickly, perhaps expecting Carlos to object. Carlos simply lowers down into the booth and stares at the table. “What in the hell is going on?” TK scoots closer, wrapping an arm around Carlos’ and smiling. “Hi baby. Well, I’m not sure but I have a theory.”
