student  loans  were  a  son  of  a  bitch  to  pay  -  noah  expected  that.  on  top  of  being  a  full  time  student,  he'd  picked  up  uber  driving  on  the  side.  it  could  be  fun  ?  he'd  thought  time  and  time  again,  but  there  were  other  times  when  he'd  freak  himself  out  far  beyond  belief  scrolling  through  insane  uber  stories.  picking  up  one  of  his  university's  most  popular  students,  however  ?  was  not  on  his  expected  list.  this  individual  was  known  to  intimidate  others,  but  there  was  NO  way  in  hell  he'd  planned  on  letting  them  scare  him  ....  in  his  own  car.  "  good  afternoon,  there's  snacks  in  the  back  and  i  can  play  any  kind  of  music  you  want  ..  or  just  shut  up  and  we  can  have  a  completely  silent  ride.  it's  all  up  to  you.  "

                   now, noah wasn’t the jealous type. or well, at least that’s what he kept telling himself time and time again, ever since he could remember. but something about the person he just saw cory go upstairs with was not sitting right with him, at all. and no, it wasn’t jealousy. not the pang in his chest when he saw them together, and not the impulse of following them. it was not jealousy. it was simply the bad vibes they were giving off, and he didn’t want cory to be around that. and the alcohol. right, he needed to blame the alcohol too. because, obviously, a single glass would totally be enough to want to follow them, nothing out of the ordinary. what was out of the ordinary was noah standing in front of them, fist still closed, after having punched cory’s companion in the face. he looked over at her, trying to feign innocence,  ❝ i didn’t know that would happen. ❞
