If he had the opportunity to switch sizes with a normal sized pony (in this case, something he could do without the other pony knowing/wanting), would he take the chance, or stay the same?
Nowadays? No, he’s come to terms with his own size. He wouldn’t want to wish it onto another pony. Unless of course they wanted to for whatever reason? He probably still wouldn’t switch, but having company would make his day for sure.
