Walking through the village square in Lightwater on Friday I spotted a gaggle of young children gathered looking up expectantly at Santa Claus and his three elves as they handed out gifts. I admit to knowing nothing of the event, just pleased to see happy parents faces. If Lightwater based building services firm Kircher organised the event, then well done them.

Travelling along Red Road it’s obvious that the Esso pipeline works on Red Road up to Lightwater Road is complete, and that also means that Briar Avenue is open.
