Since people seem genuinely interested to read my stuff, here and at other places, I'll just share the very first paragraphs of this story until now and make a list of snippets or fun facts I want to share, in a specific order. And then I'll see what I'll share.
Colin might have many things he could think about now—many things to worry about—but he decided it wouldn’t be of any use to him now. If he worried now, his mood would drop, but he couldn’t do anything anyway, not now, in the middle of the night. Also, despite the circumstances plaguing Colin today, it was a very peaceful moment, and he wouldn’t let anyone destroy it. Especially not his father.
He sighed, stopped in his tracks and leant his head back to look up at the firmament. The nearly black sky worked as a canvas for several small, white dots that looked like someone sprinkled them on there. The bigger, not quite circular, yellowish-white dot that made up the moon was already on its way down to the horizon and would be gone in maybe an hour or two. Other than a handful clouds which looked like cotton wool, the sky was clear.
In the distance, one or the other car drove through the night and filled it with the quiet sound of its engine, and when he closed his eyes and listened, he could make out the sound of waves crashing in the harbour. If Colin was honest, he had no idea where he was, but he didn’t expect that he already wandered far enough to the south to hear the water.
