Ej with horns was actually a VERY early design idea when i was creature-ifying him… I’ve always loved characters with horns. OBVIOUSLY he doesn’t have them, because it wouldn’t make sense, but it’s still a fun idea (if he did have horns they’d get HUGE when he’s an adult like his ears lmao and he’s decorate those too assuming he got them from Mira… horn piercings and caps………… chains maybe…..)
And dog (i think fern would see Fig. do that to Ej and Ej not caring so he sort of let himself do the same thing [similar to that one scene with Finn Jake and Pb when Finn was crushing on PB still that phase. That one scene where Jake was laying on her lap so Finn did the same] except here it’s fine actually because Ej just treats fern like a cat anyway. They work so well together because Fern is unconventional with how he expresses and requires but the thing is Ej has literally no frame of reference nor a care for what’s considered weird so he just goes with it as long as it doesn’t bother himself)
Lastly
Fern and his very pickup-able friend (Ej weighs like literally nothing to him at all considering Ej weighs at the MOST EXTREME 100 lbs but averages maybe 84-93. That and also the fact that fern is just naturally incredibly strong [literally lacks the ability to get sore muscles and can extend/contract them to basically any extent needed due to his naturally shifty physical nature] lead to him being able to pick up ej like nothing. Hes basically weightless to him and i cannot exaggerate this enough. He very well could pick him up just as easily as pictured with one hand.)
