Sorry I completely forgot where I was for a second. I pressed play on this vid and feel like I just experienced some major head trauma that erased the past 25 years of my life. I was transported back to a time when I was desperately trying to memorise the lyrics to Young MC’s Bust A Move while dipping my newly purchased white t-shirts into a bucket of dye to make a rainbow masterpiece!

Sometimes the complete dagginess of the 80’s and 90’s makes it hard to remember how ridiculously funny and fun that era was. Like Flow from Aussie residing, Papau New Guinea born, hip hop artist Jon is such a fantastic aural and visual reminder.

I haven’t come across any recently released tracks that can quite capture the feeling of listening to Digital Underground, Sir Mix-a-Lot and Young MC as much as this one. And nothing in the last few years has made me want to break out with some Deee-Lite Groove Is In The Heart dancing either. Just hope I don’t break a hip.
