Lena is a lonely witch who casts a spell to summon a succubus thinking it won’t work, but it does.
me, imagining a more modern au where lena is a witch, but has been alone for a long time, in some remote place, maybe under the guise of doing scientific research when really she is just communing with the elements. she's staying in some broken down cabin. she's getting more and more depressed. one night, wine drunk, she casts a spell to summon a succubus as a joke, a lark. she passes out before seeing if it's worked.
she wakes up to the sounds of banging in the kitchen, unnatural sounds of pipes turning. she's hungover, confused, blinking into daylight. she scrambles out of bed, no memory of what she'd even done the night before, to find a woman, tall, broad shouldered, clad in flannel and (tight) jeans, under her sink, surrounded by tools.
"excuse me?" lena calls upon her business voice. it's not much in the face of those flannel rolled up sleeves, the golden forearms turning a pipe (or something) with a wrench (maybe.)
"yeah," comes the woman's voice, rapt and focused still under the sink. "i'm going to get this fixed. honestly, i don't know how your faucet was even working. a leak has worn a hole through the cabinet, almost through the plywood below. it's a mess. anyway, then i'll be working on your water heater. have you EVER drained it? you know minerals build up in there right?"
"it's making an awful lot of noise. after that, i'll get to all the rotting panels on the side of your house. should be quick with a crow bar and some nails. and then there's the garage," the woman shakes her head with the world's weight of her disappointment, but lena's stopped listening.
she's stuck. the human version of a spinning wheel in mud. she thinks back to the night before, the black fuzz of her memory. the wine. opening her black leather grimoire.
FUCK. she almost screams. she'd thought it hadn't worked. but this woman... what kind of succubus was this??
she gazes at the back of her head. thick blonde hair, cropped, short. the barely harnessed physical power. she blushes.
a woman doing all the things she needs, she's neglected. a woman there, present, handy. a woman who will certainly need something to drink, something to... eat.
fine. it was a succubus just for her.
