Tereshkova attempted to contact Bykovskiy. They had evidently planned in advance to sing a duet together. Tereshkova initially had problems contacting Bykovskiy.

Chayka [Tereshkova]: Kedr [Gagarin], over. I've not been able to establish communications with him [Bykovskiy]. From the southern point I called him, he's silent, from the north, the same. For the moment, we've lost each other. But without fail, I congratulate [him]. I'm very happy for him. Tell Yastreb [Bykovskiy] that I'm prepared to carry out the space duet as we planned.

There was a short pause at this point, after which Tereshkova managed to establish contact with Bykovskiy and then launched into a short excerpt from a patriotic Russian song, immediately followed by two recent popular favourites:

Chayka [Tereshkova]: "Our town is alright, the people are just that way Pa-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra, la-la-la-la-la-la-la. Yastreb, this is Chayka! Listen to your favourite. At our harbour the ships are silently smoking... Can you hear?

Yastreb [Bykovskiy]: I hear you, I hear you, I hear you....

Chayka [Tereshkova]: For the real boys, the harbour is the native home, comrade to comrade, they'll always stand together. And far far away, the ships are on their way, and all who are young at heart, stand shoulder to shoulder.

These excerpts were from two songs, one entitled 'Textile Town' and the other 'Friendship Song'. The source remarks Her voice sounded remarkably on key for someone who was not a singer.

The baby cries- you want to bash your skull in. 

           They laugh, hide their lies in tension that 

                                                 swells like the veins in your neck. 

                                                                      Your hands are bullets to

                                                  you’re losing yourself again.

              Your vision comes and goes right now. You swell more and more with emotions everyone has neglected to handle. Hands keep hitting the counter, hoping that it’ll cause a quake in the house that caves in the ceiling. But it doesn’t you just scream, yell words that don’t hold any noise. They laugh, harder now.

Their laughing is turned to muffled whispers that touch your skin like thick, calloused fingers did. You feel him against your back. You’ve left to another place- a dreadful world. The moment has come and gone. A body lays on melting dirty linoleum tiles. 

                                 There are gnats flying around you- a rotten fruit.

Waiting for someone to take you out. 

                                   Dispose of you. Take out the trash. 

No one does anything anymore. 

                         There is no more blood. There is no more promise.

I'm almost 17 and I've never been kissed. I'd rather be in a relationship rather than a casual hookup but nothing has happened yet. The only problems are that a) I'm super shy b) I dislike all the guys at my school and c) there is no where else where I would meet someone. I guess there is always university in a few years

There is nothing wrong with not being in a relationship. If you want one, there's nothing stopping you from seeking one, yet if you're comfortable and it's just cause you feel inexperienced, don't. a relationship isn't something that we all must go through. 

You shouldn't need another person to make you worthy.
