Just to add, I always really like fan art that's similar to a show's style (since the ascetic and design is usually what draws me to a show in the first place). Point being, you really nailed Lapis's face (the whole body really, but the face in particular). Also what I was saying about the pose flowing really well, I'd like to add that it draws the eye to the right spot. No matter where you look, you end up moving your eye to her face, I still say poses are one of the things you're best at

i like show accurate styles too, and i usually try to imitate it if i think i can. except for ponies. i just kinda do my own thing with them.

i kinda learned a few things over time, by following other people and hearing about stuff. i reblog tutorials when i come across them, and i’m pretty good at keeping those things in mind. i recently saw a post that had some tips on doing better poses, actually, so i’m glad i’m learning.
