Can I get 1 million likes? I just beat Cancer.
That's not me. I don't have cancer. Yet.
I see posts like this on Instagram so often. I cringe so hard when I see this. If you beat cancer and get a second chance at life, seeking validation from strangers on internet should probably be the last thing you should do. Post pictures, post the journey from sickness to health. Thank the people who stood by you. Be proud of yourself that you had the strength and that you never gave up. Provide hope to a million others who are going through the same struggle as you were. But please please please, do not beg for likes. You are worth more than that.
