Yeah, this was definitely prior to the aughts. I was 16 in 2000, so this would have been like 1995-1997 or thereabouts. That's why I was asking primarily for people who were older millennials and Gen X - I think I am a little older than most of the people I see interact with me regularly here, even though that group is still on the older side for tumblr users
