Coming with much less fanfare than I feel it deserves (I didn’t even know this was coming until last night), G Herbo’s Humble Beast should help Herbo keep climbing the rankings as a standout MC in Chicago’s hard rap scene. Think Meek Mill’s most recent album, but better (a hungry MC spilling his guts on every track...not a traditional lyricist by any means, but a thoughtful enough young MC that sounds wise beyond his years, pushing each track over the age with a determined flow and conviction).
