But the ones I sent the other day!

The first photo with the dark colored mare and little red foal with the blanket on, is Freckles and Freckles '25! She(it's a filly!) has a little wrap on her neck because the vet had to draw blood when she was born. Poor thing was a little slow, but she's doing great now!

The second photo of the little red baby with the white face is Presley '25! She is the oldest of these three and is doing great! (also a filly!)

The third one is Doll '25! He is the only boy from the group! He has almost no white markings on him at all! How cool!

Oh my gosh they’re all like totally precious with the cutest names! Lil Freckles, Lil Presley, and Lil Doll! I appreciate that one very much 😂😉

Lil Freckles (real name Emma) considered a career in comedy before she started writing raps about her white girl Brooklynite life. I completely made that up, but she did actually say that ^ before she started rapping over an instrumental of this song off her iPhone hooked up to an amp at a recent Sofar Sounds concert in the Upper West Side. While she’s her own hypeman and DJ - and quickly losing professionalism with each show (not that she has any coming up) - she clearly oozes a kind of casual confidence that a bad bitch gon hafta own if she be rolling in this music world. And no, she can’t freestyle.

Ever the millennial dream-chaser, she claims her successes before she’s made it, as if the very expression of a future creates one. She’s breaking glass ceilings on a track that Hillary Clinton’s not authorised to use at her rallies lest it loses the cool factor. She’s owning her body and her freckles, getting all the d’s she want. She dismisses a guy who doesn’t satisfy her with a diss track that compares him to his brother. At first glance, Lil Freckles just seems like a slightly over-the-top persona, maybe even Lena Durham if she rapped (don’t click that link), but she is real in a way that induces laughs like an embarrassed ‘omg me too ha ha ha’. We’re all Lil Freckles on some “I feel like super creative right now” days, when we want to take ourselves seriously, but really we’re just looking for humor that gets us. We’re second-guessing our own talent when we ask whether Lil Freckles’ music is actually rap. We’re acting the part of second-hand badass diffusion when we roll with Lil Freckles. But hey, we dig it.
