Solitair “Easy 2 Slip” (2002)
Rare Canadian conscious rap from Toronto’s Solitair which one of WUSB’s hip-hop shows (either The Basement or Eminent Audio) played during its release. Too bad no one could pinpoint the golden electric-piano and vocal sample Solitair used. Aside from rapping and assisting with Kardinal Offishal, he produces for the likes of Nina Sky, Lil’ Wayne, Busta Rhymes, DJ Khaled, and Elephant Man. When not producing, he’s a volunteer coach and mentor for high-risk Toronto youth.
