Good luck for the rest of your exams!!! How am I? Well, I have also been swamped with exams (blaugh!) but I have my last one on tuesday thank god!!!!!!! You have to tell me all about where you went in paris and what you did!!!
OOC:
I'M DONE WITH MY EXAMS!
AND YOU WILL SOON AND WE WILL CELEBRATE TOGETHER.
Oh God, okay. The first place I visited was THE LOUVRE! Oh my gosh. Now THAT was a museum. SO GODDAMN HUGE! Did you know that it was originally a FORTRESS? And then Napoleon decided he wanted it to be turned into a museum? And the portraits and paintings in there! MY GOODNESS! You see, I'm a very ardent patron of art AND THAT WAS JUST HEAVENLY! Some paintings were A WALL big, I swear! AND THOSE WERE SOME THRICE AS NORMALLY BIG WALLS. And the sculptures there .. THEY LOOKED SO REAL! Of course, we didn't visit every section of the museum. They say it would take you three weeks or something without eating or drinking or sleeping to walk down all of its passages and check out all of the pieces of art there. xD We visited a good percentage of it, though! The most important sections, I mean. And of course, the Mona Lisa! IT WAS SO FREAKY BECAUSE SHE REALLY DOES FOLLOW YOU AROUND THE ROOM WITH HER EYES WHEREVER YOU GO! XD I tried it myself! Leo's a genius, for real. To be honest, though, there were other paintings I liked more than I did the Mona Lisa. There was just too much awesomeness in there.
After we were done with the Louvre, (the entire tour group, I mean; Daddiyo and I had registered for various tours before traveling there in order to have our program prepared and all.) we took a river shuttle down River Seine to EIFFEL! AND I HAD LUNCH THERE. MY GOSH WAS THAT THE BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE. After that, we took the shuttle again and went to Notre Dame! IT'S MASSIVE, SERIOUSLY MASSIVE. And so grand! In design and all! Both on the inside and the outside.
What else, what else .... OH! Throughout the trip, we also visited Fontaine St. Michel--which was BEAUTIFUL--, the Montparnasse tower, the Champs-Elysees, the Opera place, the Bastille (the street and all), LA VERSAILLE!!, the Sacre Coeur, the Montmartre, Tour Eiffel two more goddamn times xD, and DISNEY FUCKING LAND.
Now you see, we had decided we won't go up the Eiffel Tower. Instead, we went up the Montparnasse tower, which is something like 52 levels or so (almost as tall as Eiffel), so we could see not only PARIS from up there, but ALSO the EIFFEL TOWER ITSELF. ;D That was a moment of epiphany, Georgi. In that moment, everything in my life made sense. To stand there and look at night Paris, with Eiffel beautifully twinkling like a jewel down there, I felt truly infinite, as Charlie from Perks says. It was just so magical, because the city IS truly the city of lights and love. =') Okay, corny little Nova will stop puking weird cliche sentences now.
I ate macaroons like a mad-woman, I swear. I was ADDICTED to 'em. Whenever I found a random Patisserie down the street, I'd barge in there and be all like, "Quatre Macaroons, S'il vous plait!" No regrets whatsoever. The food there was UN-PRE-CE-DEN-TED. NEVER TASTED ANYTHING LIKE IT! ALL OF THE FOOD THERE HAD A DIFFERENT, BETTER TASTE TO IT! ESPECIALLY dessert, cheese, and fruits. The fruits of the village where the Versaille is situated, omg.
First of all, I need to tell you that our tour that day was a BIKE one! :D So we wandered around the village and the VAST gardens of the Versaille on bikes! We went to the market in the village and bought all of these random picnic supplies, from berries to cheese to bread to tartelettes, then we had a picnic on the royal grounds! =') I felt like a goddamn princess. After that, we went into the palace itself and explored it. And THAT was one splendid little shit. So. Bloody. Sumptuous. Forgive my language, but this is seriously the only way I can begin to do the descriptions any justice! IT REALLY WAS BEAUTIFUL! I WANT TO LIVE THERE! I CAN'T STOP WATCHING 'The Three Musketeers' BECAUSE OF IT! THE PALACE IS WONDERFUL! We went into the royal chambers and the Hall of Mirrors and all. And with the gardens (more like goddamn oases) and all, I think living there was a real blessing, putting aside any political downfalls.
Our hotel was situated on a street right next to the Montmartre, the district of artists where Picasso and Van Gogh and Claude Monet and many others used to live and paint. The hill's this very differently designed district whose streets are all winding and cobblestoned and narrower than other Parisian streets and it was SO FRENCH. I actually visited Picasso's studio and Van Gogh's house! And I had a good view of the Moulin Rouge. xD HERE'S WHAT THE MONTMARTRE LOOKS LIKE:
AND THIS IS PICASSO'S STUDIO:
Bless his guts. AAAAAAAND, LA VERSAILLE:
LOUIS' GODDAMN BED:
Imagine waking up every morning to THAT scenery:
Not that I'm deprived or anything. I mean, It's not that I've never been into a friggin' palace before. Lawl. Pfffft.
I have never been into a palace before. And certainly not a French one. And now I demand being a part of the 16th Century goddamn royal family. Or a musketeer. Yes, make me a musketeer. After all, I did wear D'Artagnan on the school's costume party a few days ago. With a fake sword that I'd gotten from Disneyland and all. I did tell you guys I always fantasize about owning a sword, didn't I? Well, NOW I HAVE ONE! :D I'M A MUSKETEER NOW! I'M A FRENCH KING SERVANT WHOM THE KING REGARDS AS VERY TRUSTWORTHY! IMMA SWORDFIGHTER! Imma loser lol. xD
And that's about a good summary of what I'd done in France. ;) Did I mention I almost eye flirted with every single friggin' cute French guy I saw. Sue me.
lil-potter replied to your post: You are the only friend I have, outside of my family, can I vent?
Of course you are on there. Do you think my relations can handle being normal people? Or do they like attracting attention?
Is this a trick question?
There is a Hogsmeade trip this weekend. You still owe me one. Lily.
Sounds like a plan. I'll try not to land myself in the Headmistress' office again.
Dan
Hey guess what tomorrow is Albus!
August the 31st! The Day of Solidarity and Freedom in Poland! I cannot express to you how excited I am, Lils. I simply cannot.

is it bad?
lil-potter replied to your post: Thank you.
Not killing him.
I suppose that would have been extremely unfair.
