The Quarian and the Engineer

Naked: "Jasper... can you reach over and grab my omnitool?" -checks out his butt when he rolls over to get it-
Tides of War.
Vor walked down the long halls of the palace, slightly regretting not waking Kala. He had left her a note on her 'nest' that he was going to the council meeting to discuss his hypothesis on the Quara. He hoped that he would have better luck with the Chieftains than he did with the war council.
Vor wore his armor. A suit of crimson red and jet black with metal plates that bore signs of bullet marks, gouges from blades, and hammered out dents from mighty blows. He carried his helm under his arm and his combat knife on his hip. His pace was slow and deliberate. Walking tall and proud. He may have been an assassin, but now he was a warrior. Bloodied and proven in battle. Wounded and repaired, he would fight on. For his people. For his beloved.
He left the palace and made his way to the grand council hall. A little over a year ago it was just an old abandon warehouse. Now it was elaborately decorated with ornaments from the ships who came here after the Quarian holocaust.
He spotted the five chieftains as he walked in. Both the planet side and space leaders. Aytor'Shura and Tevee'Merric of clan Ailar. Nrok'Jane and his sister Fain of clan Vandist. Aian'Maln and Easan'Porth of clan Bexin. Rvar'Nos and Nieen'Kahla of clan Reviss. And Soh'Voth and Asha'Malak of clan Miyla.
The Clans seemed to be... less than pleased with the summons. All of them either lived in fear of the Quarah and were strengthening their colonies defences or were already at war with them. Other than that, they also distrusted or disliked one another for various reasons. Resources, political standing, real and imagined slights against one another.
Either way, they had to come together to face the Quarah.
Vor also noticed the Council on a large platform at the end of the room sitting on tall chairs. Vor grinned when he saw who was up there. Each represented a position from the reclamation period. Some were more useful than others and some less now.
Koth'Zeffon was in charge of overseeing construction of nonmilitary terrestrial and space operations. His position had been rather dull since the war and colony expansion had stopped.
Reen'Avlen was an older quarian woman who had been appointed to the Social reform. She rarely attended council meetings and let her vice councilors and lackeys attend in her place. Most of the time people forgot that she was the real councilor.
Dar'Tsan was a comrade of Vors when he went on his expedition. He now held the seat of exploration. Another position gone aside due to the war.
Neela'Karal was the second busiest councilor, being in charge of resources. She had been one of the beauties of her ship, the Vondago. Now her blond hair seemed to be turning a dull gray. Finding food and resources for a war was challenging work, let alone finding them for a booming civilian population.
Last on the council, and looking more haggard than when he saw him earlier, was Zoh'Matresh, the Military councilor. He was old. Maybe older than Taz. Vor didn't know for sure. But this old war dog was on his last leg. He may have been an expert star ship strategist, but when it came down to ground combat, he fumbled over himself trying to coordinate six different front lines.
Vor looked around for Taz and Lila but didn't see them. He figured they would show up soon though. Those two were the ones he needed to convince. Those two had the real power on the planet. He had to convince them that the Quarah had reaper tech and some how absorbed some of the reapers power.

Lila. I know this shouldn't have happened. I know I.. should have lived. For you, and the kids.
I leave everything I have to you.
I love you.
Have you decided where you want to go on vacation?
Not yet..
I-I don't usually take vacations.
Put some pants on and pack a bag. We're going on vacation.
