This is not remotely the version of Coke salad that I know. It's... close, but still super weird and wrong. Mine requires cherry jello. And you roll the cream cheese into small balls before dropping them and the nuts into the jello
That sounds like it might be quite pretty as a presentation dish, although knowing what I do of cream cheese I’m curious as to how you roll it, it’s quite messy. Little scoops, maybe, or extreme chilling first?

Sam we're really worried about you
Not as worried as I am about me, let me tell you.

It...it...I just don't have words. And I can't for the life of me even figure out what the creator of this recipe was thinking. Such a vile color! Thanks for keeping us posted. Love cooking with Sam! :D
One does wonder how something like this got invented. Like, Jello with soda I understand, thinking maybe the effervescence would add sparkles. And Jello with cream cheese I sort of understand if you’re not entirely in your right mind and trying to make one of those mayonnaise dishes but you only have cream cheese in the fridge. But to stir the jello into the cream cheese and then pour boiling soda over top of it feels like it requires some form of infernal inspiration.
