can we please get some of murdoc's lil daughter helping the rest of the gang surprise her dad for his birthday 🙌🏼🙏🏽
Of course! Only the best for our favorite bassist~
Side note: THIS IS SO MUCH LONGER THAN I THOUGHT LMAO HAPPY BIRTHDAY MURDOC!
“Mudz! Come on, we’re gonna be late!” Noodle crossed her arms, huffing as she blew her bangs out of her eyes. For Murdoc’s birthday, she was tasked with keeping him out of the house all day– so she had plenty of interviews and shoots set up to keep him busy. Russel and 2D would be staying back at the house with Lilith, who wanted to throw her dad a surprise party. Russel had been tasked with cooking, as the little girl quickly learned that her blue-haired uncle was not the best chef. 2D would instead decorate– “You can reach tall places!” Lilith had gestured around to the corners of the house. “That’s where the streamers go.”
“Alright, geez.” Murdoc came downstairs, slipping his jacket over his shoulders. “They couldn’t have scheduled these damn things a different day?” He grumbled, looking around for his daughter so he could say goodbye.
“Daddy!” Lilith came bounding out of the kitchen, arms held out for a hug. Murdoc easily caught her and scooped her up into his arms, kissing her temple.
“There’s my little hellraiser.” Lilith giggled at the nickname. “Do you know what today is?”
“Your birthday!” She clapped, a mischievous smile forming on her face. “You’re oooooold.” At this, Murdoc rolled his eyes, kissing her again before setting her back down. Noodle had to excuse herself outside because she was laughing so hard.
“Yeah, thanks for reminding me kid. We’ll be back later, okay? Stay here with your uncles.” Murdoc ruffled his daughters dark locks before following Noodle out the door. Before it could close, Lil ran to the door.
“Ahem!” She stamped her foot as watched her father turn back, shouting a “love you!” to her before sticking his tongue out at her. Letting the door close behind her, Lilith ran back into the kitchen. “He’s gone! We gotta start now Uncle Russ!”
2D laughed from where he sat at the island in the middle of the room. “Calm down there, little one.” He shook his head, gesturing for her to sit with him. “Ya gotta finish ya breakfast first.”
As the morning turned into afternoon, Lilith had been making a card for Murdoc so they didn’t have to go try and find one. She’d had to restart a few times though, since she misspelled ‘birthday’ and didn’t like her drawing. “How’s it going Lil?” Russel peeked over his shoulder. He was currently making the frosting to put on the cake– trying to make a nice turquoise color was not as easy as it appeared.
“Almost done!” She finished coloring in the heart she had drawn (with a little help from 2D) and held it up for her uncle to see.
“Very nice!” Russ gave her a thumbs up, turning back to his still too green frosting. He accidentally squirted more drops of food coloring into the bowl than he wanted because of 2D’s unexpected screaming. Before he could react, Lilith was out of the room, ready to save her other uncle from whatever thing had hurt him.
Turns out, 2D screamed over a slightly-bigger-than-normal spider that ‘came out of nowhere.’ He picked Lilith up so she could reach the bug, letting her pick it up before shooing her toward the door to let it outside. “It’s just a spider, Uncle Stu! Just wants to eat other bad buggies.” She smiled at it before setting it down in the bushes outside the door.
2D rubbed his hands over his face, shaking off the fright the insect had given him. “Now that it’s gone, ya wouldn’t mind helping me a little more, would ya?” He held up the roll of tape he had been sticking streamers up with.
After wrapping the presents and decorating the cake, it was time to wait. Something Lilith absolutely hated doing. “Uncle Russsssss,” She whined, pulling on his arm and twisting around on the floor. They had finished setting everything up about 20 minutes ago, Noodle letting them know they would be home soon and that she’d let them know when they were pulling into the driveway. “How much loooonger?” She let go of him, flopping onto the floor in a heap. She had never been a patient child, something she definitely inherited from Murdoc.
“Shouldn’t be much longer.” He checked his phone again, his eyes lighting up when a message from Noodle appeared. “They’re back! Quick, go wait over on the stairs.” He smiled as she dragged 2D with her by the pant leg.
“I’m comin’! No need to drag me like that.” 2D shook his head, smiling at his niece. Out of everyone in the band, Stu was happiest that Lilith came to live with them– she was making Murdoc a *somewhat* better person and for that he was grateful. While she may be a clone of her father, she was much more gentle and kind.
Noodle bit her lip to suppress the grin that so desperately wanted to form on her face as she looked up at the darkened windows of Kong. She turned to see Murdoc flick what was left of his cigarette on the ground, giving her an odd look. “What’s with you?” He raised his eyebrow.
“Oh nothing! I’m just happy to be back. I can finally get some food in me.” She led him up the walkway, choosing to ignore whatever he was mumbling under his breath. She opened up the door, grinning into the darkness.
“What the-? Why’s it so damn dar–” Murdoc’s hand flew in front of his eyes as the lights suddenly turned on, blinding the ever living hell out of him.
“Surprise!” The four of them cheered. Murdoc glanced around to see streamers and balloons hung up around the room and in the kitchen. He grinned at his bandmates and daughter, laughing as she ran to him.
“Were you surprised?” Lilith smiled, throwing her arms around his neck. He nodded, kissing the side of her head before looking back at the band.
“You lot did this for little ol’ me?”
“It wasn’t our idea.” 2D nodded toward Lilith, who hid her blushing in Murdoc’s neck. “Now come on, Russ made food and I can’t wait to eat it anymore.”
Oh, how badly Noodle wanted to push Murdoc’s face into the cake. Her hand’s twitched as she tried to hold back, wanting him to at least read what it said on top. “Really? ‘You’re old?’” Murdoc chided them and shook his head, grumbling about how he didn’t need to be reminded.
“I’M DOING IT!” Noodle pushed his head into the cake, laughing as she scurried away from his grasp. Lilith couldn’t help the fits of laughter that fell from her lips as she joined her aunt on the floor, who was holding her stomach from laughing so hard. 2D, who was sat next to Mudz, began to slowly scoot away in fear of his wrath. To everyone’s surprise, Murdoc sat up– frosting covering his face and in his hair– and laughed. He was only laughing because he knew exactly how he was getting Noodle back. Murdoc wiped the frosting from around his eyes, quickly grabbing the woman and running out the back door. Lilith and her uncles watched from the window as Noodle desperately tried to hang onto him, screaming as she was thrown into the pool behind her.
“Uh-oh.” Lilith ran screaming into the bathroom, knowing she was next. She watched from the crack under the door to see who came up to the door, making sure it wasn’t her father’s boots. Instead, she saw Russel’s sneakers appear. “Password?”
“Bubblegum.” Russel watched her peek outside, making sure it was just him. “Don’t worry– he’s gonna get washed off.” He winked, leading her out to where Mudz was bent over helping Noodle out of the water. Russel picked up the green man, tossing him in.
“What the fuuuuuuuck!” Murdoc screeched as he sank underwater, his middle finger being the first thing to come up.
“This one next!” Lilith pushed a long box across the floor, struggling with the weight. “I picked it out.” She grinned up at her father as she finally got the box in front of him. As he flipped the lid on the box, his eyes landed on a beautiful purple bass. When he picked it up, it glittered in the light and almost seemed to turn black.
“This is perfect!” Murdoc grabbed his daughter and kissed her cheek, thanking her for the very thoughtful gift. “You did a good job, my little devil.” He looked back down to grab the card that was inside, seeing a picture of the five of them that Lilith had drawn just for him.
“Ha! My card is better than the one you got, ‘D.” He stuck his tongue out at the singer, who flipped him off.
“Thank you all for these lovely gifts. Really, I mean it.” He held Lilith just a little closer, smiling at his bandmates. His odd little family might not be much, but to Murdoc, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
can we please get some lilith interacting with ace while her dads in prison 🙏🏽🙏🏽also maybe a bit of them visiting murdoc together & her seeing him all beat up and getting scared/sad 💚💚💚💚
I haven’t gotten to write about Ace much yet, so I’d be happy to! And you know I’ll write about Lilith any time~
-While Mudz was in jail, the band had brought in a friend of theirs, Ace, to cover for Murdoc on the new album. Lilith was a little apprehensive of him at first, but felt some sort of connection to him– maybe it was the green skin. Whenever Ace was around, Lil would always make sure Russel or Noodle was around to protect her since she didn’t know him yet. “He isn’t a bad guy, Lil! Ace is nice.” Noodle would say as Lilith hid behind her leg slightly, watching Ace move around the kitchen with 2D.
- “Sh- crap!” Ace caught himself, knowing Lilith was in the room. “I can’t reach that spoon.” He was reaching down in the space between the refrigerator and the counter. He turned, a hopeful smile on his face. “Lilith?” He pointed down at the spoon. “You have smaller hands than I do. Can you maybe grab that for me?” Lilith came forward shyly, reaching out and picking up the utensil and placing it back on the counter.
“Thank you missy.” He ruffled her hair, giving her a smile before turning back to what he was making. As she started to walk away, his voice called her back. “I wouldn’t go too far– dinner’s just about done.”
-After that night, Lilith started to get more interested in Ace, seeing as he and her father had a few things in common. “Ace?” She spoke up from the doorway one night after watching him fiddling around with his bass.
“What’s up kiddo?” He beckoned her inside, letting his arms rest on top of the instrument.
“Before Daddy…went away,” She bit her lip at the memory, playing with the hem of her sleeve. “He was teaching me to play.” She pointed at the bass in his lap. “Can you…can you teach me a little?”
-ACE WAS SO HAPPY THAT SHE ASKED. A grin stretched across his face as he made room on the sofa for her to sit next to him. “Sure can! I’d be happy to.” He spent about an hour and a half showing her how to play certain chords and had started teaching her the bass line to Feel Good Inc, which is what Murdoc had been teaching her before he was put in jail.
-After Lilith had warmed up to him, she found comfort in Ace’s presence– he heavily reminded her of Murdoc. Whenever she was in a bad mood or not having a good day, she found herself looking for Ace more than either of her uncles or aunt. When she got a letter from her father saying that she could come visit him, everyone immediately looked to him. “What? Why’re you all looking at me?” He glanced around at everyone nervously.
“I think you should take Lilith to see him.” Noodle spoke for her bandmates. “We’ve all seen how good you are with her– you should go.” She smiled over at the little girl, who was busy rereading the letter Murdoc had sent with 2D.
-The day that the pair went in to see him, it was a big surprise for Lilith. Wormwood had given Mudz permission to have a meeting out in the courtyard so he could interact with his daughter better. The only thing he was worried about was how upset his little girl would be when she saw his appearance. He had mentioned in his letter than he was thrown into the middle of a fight, getting somewhat hurt in the process. Though because he didn’t fight back and just let everything happen, his good behavior streak hadn’t been broken and he was able to get a special meeting.
-He was outside in the courtyard waiting by the time they got there. At this point, any bruising or cuts he had on his face were healing and didn’t look as bad as they did. “Daddy!” Lilith screamed as she ran across the courtyard into his arms, squealing as he caught her and hugged her tightly to him. “I missed you!” She pulled back to plant a kiss on his cheek, but stopped when she saw the still slightly bruised skin. “Are you okay?” She frowned and kissed his cheek gently, wrapping her arms back around his neck.
“I am now, little devil.” He hugged her tightly again, noticing for the first time that it was Ace that had brought her. Anger flared up inside him as he stared at his replacement. “What’re you doing here, you–”
“He’s my friend!” Lilith put a hand over Murdoc’s mouth. “Don’t be mean.”
-This caught Murdoc really off guard. His daughter actually interacted with Ace? And liked him? He looked toward the other green-skinned man who was sitting on the other side of the table Murdoc had previously been sitting at. “I don’t want to interfere with anything.” Ace said, raising his hands. “She wanted me to bring her, so I did. I’ll let you have your time with her.” He pulled out his phone and proceeded to sit quietly after that.
-In the time that they had, Lilith had told her father about everything that was happening at home while he was gone. “Oh! Ace taught me some stuff on the bass, Daddy!” She clapped excitedly.
The fact that she still wanted to learn to play warmed Murdoc’s heart. “What’d he teach you, love?” He smiled as she talked about how she was starting to play Feel Good Inc and that she learned a few new chords. He chuckled when she said that while she was trying to play along with Noodle one night and a string snapped, scaring the living shit out of them both. “We’ll have to play together when I get out of here then.” He grinned, earning a squeal from his daughter.
“You mean it?” She smacked excitedly at his open palms, grinning when his fingers curled in to hold hers.
-As their meeting as coming to an end, Lilith was starting to fall asleep in Murdoc’s lap. While she was nodding off, Murdoc took a moment to talk with Ace. “Has she been doing okay?” He lowered his voice as to not get Lilith’s attention. “She’s been happy?”
Ace leaned forward so he was closer to Murdoc. “She’s been great– she talks about you every day.” For the first time since meeting him, Ace saw a hint of emotion that wasn’t anger or annoyance in Murdoc’s face. “You’ve got a good kid there, Mudz.” He smiled at Lilith, who was desperately trying to stay awake. Noticing through her lashes, she gave him a sleepy smile in return.
-Murdoc shifted her in his arms so that he had a better grip on her. He smiled down at his daughter and kissed the top of her head softly. “Look out for her, will ya?” He said when he caught Ace’s gaze. “Make sure my little girl’s alright until I get out of here.”
“I will.” Ace nodded in affirmation. “I’d never let anything bad happen to her or anyone else I cared about. You have my word.”
-Murdoc followed Ace and the officer out into the waiting area where they would have to part ways. He cherished the moments he had to hold Lilith in his arms again, nudging her lightly to get her to come around. “Lil, darling. Wake up.” He smiled sadly. “Daddy’s gotta go now.” He said quietly.
“Nooo…” She cried, her tears welling up in her eyes. “I don’t want you to go.” She hugged him tighter, hiding her face in his neck.
“You’ll see me again soon, promise.” He brushed his fingers through her slightly tangled hair, pushing it away from her face. “I love you, Lilith.” He kissed her cheek before wiping away her tears.
- “Okay…” She sniffled. “I love you too.” She hugged him again then turned in his arms. “Carry.” She made a grabbing motion toward Ace, who easily took her into his arms. “See you soon Daddy.” The two waved goodbye as she watched her father’s figure grow smaller as they walked out of the building. She gripped onto Ace’s coat as she hiccuped, some tears still spilling down her face.
“Lilith?” Ace murmured as he got her settled in the car. “Do you know what always makes me feel better when I’m upset?” At this, she shook her head, rubbing her fists across her eyes. “I always go and get myself a big cup of ice cream.”
“Can we go get some now?” Lilith let a small smile show on her face. “It would make me feel a little better.”
And because I realized what I had to do for my friend @noodledoodleboodle, here are a list of things that Lil and Morgan (for those of you who didn’t see my dad!Russel, she’s Russel’s daughter!) would do together!
Now our ocs were first thought of as in their 20s (I aged Lilith down just for some imagines), so this will be written as they are in their original ages! And just for future reference, I’ll probably continuously age up Lilith in future imagines until she’s at the age I created her as.
~
-So Lilith and Morgan hang out like all the time. They love to go shopping ya know, as girls do. Whenever they’re trying something on that they aren’t too sure about, you can be your ass that the other is like “YAAAASSSSS BITCH YOU LOOK SO GOOD BUY THAT.” and hype each other up constantly.
-Like Morgan is the best person to get someone hyped. She’s that friend that you take to shows or something that pushes you to wear a certain outfit or to do a thing.
-Lilith always tries to get Mo to get black clothes, but it doesn’t usually work. Sometimes Mo will be like “Yeah that dress does look better in black. Gimmie.” But will usually find the same thing in a brighter color.
-On the outside, they’re polar opposites but are BESTIES. Like they can appreciate the other and whatever it is that the other one likes, even if they aren’t totally into the thing themselves. Like Lil likes old school rock and metal, whereas Mo listens to more hip hop and R&B, but they can both appreciate the other and can at least talk about the things they like.
-Morgan gets SUPER EXCITED when Lil comes to her with concert tickets. It could be to ANY KIND OF CONCERT, but she would be excited regardless. She’s probably the one to egg on Lilith to crowd surf tbh.
-THEY SCREAM ALONG TO SONGS IN THE CAR. ALWAYS.
-If one of them is having a bad day or is upset, the questions “Do I have to fucking fight someone? Do I have to grab my dad and go kick some ass?” are always the first to come out of their mouths.
-SPEAKING OF THEIR DADS. They have double daddy-daughter dates all the time. Going to the movies with their dads is usually what happens. Or if there’s a new food place that’s opened and they all want to try it out. Paintball or laser tag is also always an option for their group since Lilith likes to get back at her dad for being an ass.
-Lazy days in pjs? Sounds like heaven for Lil and Mo. Lazy days in pjs, with junk food? EVEN BETTER.
-HONESTLY WOULD PROBABLY BE ROOMMATES IF THEY WERE IN COLLEGE.
ok i'm sorry i'm probably bugging you so much but i love lilith so much & the one about her celebrating murdoc's birthday & i was wondering if you could do one where the fang celebrates lilith's birthday? and like maybe murdoc gets emotional because he never thought he'd be able to raise a kid yet here she is growing up ahhh 💚💚💚
So this has been in my ask for aaaaaages simply because I didn’t really have a birth date for Lilith yet. BUT NOW I HAVE IT! I’m also gonna have her be turning 16 in this, just so I can write this how I’m seeing it in my head~
“Liliiith,” She heard her voice being called. “Come on little devil, I know you’re awake.” She groaned and covered her face with a pillow, blocking out the lights that her father had just turned on.
“Daaaaad!” She yelled into the pillow before peaking out to check her clock. “It’s two-thirty in the morning! Why are you waking me up?” She flailed to try and keep hold of the pillow as Murdoc snatched it away.
“Because there’s something I want you to see– come on.” He chuckled as she pulled herself out of bed, slipping on one of his old hoodies that she had stolen. That’s my girl. A badass, just like her dad. He thought to himself as he pushed her out of her room. He had Noodle help him with setting up a blanket on the roof for him while he woke his daughter up.
“Dad, where the hell are we going?” Murdoc turned to see her rubbing her eyes with the sleeve pulled over her hands– a truly adorable sight, really. Lilith is the only person (aside from Noodle) Murdoc would ever dare call ‘adorable’. Lilith looked up to see the ladder going up toward the attic. “The attic?” She asked after following him up.
“Something a little bit more… open.” Murdoc gestured to the open window. After getting himself onto the roof, he carefully helped Lilith up to where Noodle had left the blanket. “Happy birthday, little devil.” He pulled his still half-asleep daughter into his side, kissing the side of her head. “Keep an eye on the moon.” He shook her lightly to wake her back up.
“I don’t… oh!” Lilith sat up a little straighter, squinting to see a shadow moving over the moon. “Dad, did you wake me up for the eclipse?!”
Murdoc mimicked his daughter’s position, groaning as his knees popped as he crossed his legs. “I’m getting too old to be sitting like this…” He rocked slightly to get more comfortable. “When you were born, the world turned red.” Murdoc smiled, remembering fondly of the moment, well, fondly of everything besides her mother. “I looked at you and thought: That’s it. Only my kid would be born during a lunar eclipse.” He chuckled, seeing Lilith smile at him.
Before she could say anything, their attentions turned back to the moon, just as it turned fully red. “Oh, I have something else for you.” Murdoc dug around in the pocket inside his jacket for her present. “Here– I know you’ve been into the crystals lately and had your uncle do some inquiring for me.” He held out the bundle of necklaces, each one holding a different crystal on it’s chain.
A few weeks earlier, he sent in 2D to get some answers out of Lilith. He didn’t want to make it too obvious what she was getting from her father. He figured 2D would be the perfect candidate to get information for him, considering he was interested in what all the different crystals meant anyway. “You fink she’ll figure out why I’m asking ‘er?” 2D bit his lip nervously; he didn’t want to mess this up.
“Nah! Besides, she won’t suspect I’d ask you to get anything from her.” Murdoc grinned slyly, sending 2D up to his daughter’s room.
“Dad! These are so beautiful!” Her smile stretched from ear to ear as she carefully inspected each one. “You even got me one with a piece of Fluorite! How did you know?!” She squealed, throwing her arms around him.
“Eh, I had a spy on the inside.” He threw an arm around her, happy that she liked her gifts. “What exactly do you think–”
“Fluorite is supposed to help bring chaos into order and promote stability. If that’s what you’re asking.” Lilith grinned as she cut him off, seeing as he got rather annoyed with her when she did that, but hey, who do you think she got her bad habits from?
Lilith pulled away to put on one of the necklaces, looking back up toward the eclipse. She could feel him watching her as she memorized everything about the blood moon above her. “What?” She questioned, looking back at him.
Murdoc stared at her for another moment, taking in all the parts of her that were just like him– her thick, black locks, her green-tinted skin, and those dark eyes he now came to realize were more like his than her mother’s. “I just never thought I would have this moment, Lil. Never expected to have a kid, really.” He leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees. “But once I had your annoying ass,” He chuckled as she elbowed him. “I knew I had to be there for you– not like the piece of shit I called ‘dad’.” He shook his head to rid himself of the pain his own father put him through. “I knew I didn’t want to be that big of a piece of shit.” Lilith smiled leaning over to rest her head on his shoulder.
“Love you dad.” She glanced up at him, seeing as she was still looking down at his lap. “You’re the best dad I could ask for– well, sometimes you need to chill out, but you’re still the best.” She wrapped her arms around him again, smiling as he kissed the top of her head.
“Alright, enough of this sappy crap.” He pulled her up, taking the blanket with them. “Your aunt and uncles have some surprises for you.” He pointed toward the window they had exited from, seeing the three of them standing there with a black and red cake that read ‘Happy Sweet 16!’
“Isn’t it a little early for cake?” Lilith asked after climbing back into the attic. “It’s like three in the morning.”
Russel pulled her into his side, ruffling her hair as she cried out in protest. “On your birthday, you can have cake whenever you want.”
“Even at three in the mornin’!” 2D shot her a toothy grin, showing off the gap at the front. “Wait, where’s Noodle gone?” They all looked around, Lilith still fixing her hair from Russel’s attack on her head.
“Right here!” Noodle appeared from behind a sheet-covered box that she was struggling to push forward. “Now, do you remember what you got for your dad a few years ago?” She leaned against Murdoc, hooking a thumb toward him. Struggling to remember at such an early time, Lil shook her head no. “Well, we’ve returned the favor.” Noodle winked, pulling the sheet off the box. “Open her up!”
Lilith dove forward, excitedly pulling the box open to reveal an exact replica of the bass she had picked out for Murdoc years before, although this one as a deep burgundy. “Holy shit!” She pulled it free from the box, admiring the color. “Thank you so much!” She looked toward her dad, who had the proudest smile plastered across his face. “Can we play together later?” She grinned hopefully.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way, my little devil.” He pulled her in for another hug before taking the bass from her hands. “Oh, there’s one more thing…”
There was a glint in his eye that Lilith really didn’t like. “Dad…” She took a step back. “What’re you–”Before she could finish, Murdoc had a hand behind her head, smacking the cake into her face.
Did a another quick Lilith cosplay the other night. Makeup looked better in person 😭🤷🏻♀️ I know you all know Lilith as a sweet little kid, but as she gets older she definitely gets that cockiness that her father has 😜
