HELLLLLLLP okay well I dug myself this hole. I HOPE I’M HAPPY NOW. I answered 15 for the first one, but here are the others, so HERE GOES:

2. Admit to a kink you’re ashamed you like.

haaaaaah, okay, so I really like whump. It’s a bulletproof kink for me - I will read fics that I would otherwise have ditched for terrible writing if the whump is good enough. I really don’t know what’s wrong with me. And it’s completely favorite character-specific, too. I love seeing my faves get terribly beaten up, but I have zero interest when it happens to other characters, and will generally close tab on those fics. My best guess is that it ties into the reasons I like hurt/comfort, for all the emotional payoff later during the comfort part. Whump is definitely more satisfying with the rescue and and eventual comfort, whereas comfort all by itself is just fluff (though I certainly love fluff too).

I’ve just always really liked whump, and can pick out instances as a kid where looking back, that was what I enjoyed about a thing. There’s an episode in season 1 of Fraggle Rock, where Gobo gets kocked out by a blast and is really out of it, and, for fuck’s sake, that was like 8-year-old me’s favorite episode in the history of ever, so yeah. definitely a long-term thing.

5. Most shameful ship?

I’ve been wracking my brains for this one, and I can’t really think of one! I’m generally happy with canon ships and prefer them when they’re there, but will read most other ships involving my favorite character without being too picky about them (unless they’re written as “demonize the canon female love interest so that I can make these two hot dudes fuck”, which, no, what is WRONG with you, child?? and I guess I don’t really like breaking up a canon couple to ship one of them with someone else, those just feel tacky to me.)

In Avengers fandom, Bruce/Nat is probably the most controversial ship, but I have zero problem with it (since I ship Bruce/anybodythatcanmakehimhappy), and honestly seeing people (read: clint/nat shippers) so outraged over it has only made me like it more! But I definitely don’t count it as a shameful ship.

Probably the closest I get to shameful is not having any difficulty reading incesty ships. In HoliTsuba-verse Kurogane/Fai/Yuui is essentially canon anyway, so again not terribly shameful? Sorry for the tame answer!
