So this young American lad heard the song “Top Striker” by the 2018 Grenadian Power Soca Monarchs, @lilnattywusswayzsoca @thunda_wussways . He did a video trying to demonstrate this Soca (genre) song and it went viral, because it sounded so weird, given that he could not understand and reproduce the dialect and therefore the words of the song. So, eventually, with all Grenadian’s arguing, instructing and correcting - he got he words. So, this is the remake with the words. I have to say, I appreciate the fact that he loved the song, even though he could not understand the words and through his willingness to discuss and share the music, he now gets to learn so much more. I hope he can make it to Grenada for Carnival/Spicemas next year. He is very welcome.
