Unboxed Disney Animator’s Collection Littles of Lilo’s House
Again, I love most of what comes out of this collection (outside the glittery aspect) but its so much better quality then most of our latest over saturated Lilo & Stitch merch. Best yet Lilo gets featured still in these sets and her name not completely wiped out from the franchise logo.
This is a very detailed small playset for Lilo’s house. It comes with Lilo’s bed, Scrump on pillows, the red wagon and record player. It also had a bonus figure hidden away in a silver bag that I sort of was expecting a real character from.... but it was just Stitch’s bed?
I felt really jaded about not even getting a duckling. Is it random or is the ‘mystery’ figure always Stitch’s bed? If you have this set please let me know!
The only true figures Stitch and Lilo are ‘keys’ that once standing over the flower prints on the floor set off music, open the door or light up the pickle jar. Now the pickle jar being that source of light is quite the choice, I’d prefer Stitch unlock some alien plasma cannon or computer screen to flash the light!. But I guess they are going for an ‘all early movie Lilo centered house’ no alien stuff.
The music that plays isnt just the tune either its got the real song snippet with the words. VERY nice touch. The only thing that erks me is to remove the figures I had to ruin the top part of the box and now I cant display it inside the box. The box artwork is SO PRETTY. I tend to really try to keep all the boxes from this collection with the sketch art on it.
Here’s the damage. I ended up cutting the top off but I still dont like it. I think I’m just gonna display it loose from the box in this case. The house is really too good looking to keep shut anyway! I think I will keep it right ontop of my Lilo doll’s box.
Back in the summer, I’ve shared a few posts about Lilo & Stitch projects on LEGO Ideas, sharing what Master Builders had in mind for Lilo & Stitch-themed LEGO sets. But now that a couple months have past since I last wrote about any of them, I think it’s time to see how things are going with them.
We’ll start with the two Stitch product ideas by mjketsinger.
The first one, the BrickHeadz Stitch, has 499 supporters with 38 days left as of this writing. Considering that it needs a little more than double its current supporter count to reach the 1,000 supporter milestone, it doesn’t seem that fans are craving for a small, blocky LEGO Stitch model at the moment. The other one, their modular Stitch, has 927 supporters with 51 days left as of this writing. It definitely has a better chance of hitting the 1,000 supporter milestone, but it’s going to be a close call as it needs a little over two new supporters per day to get that deadline extension. Mind you that they also plan to have an Angel model accompany this one.
Next up is JanYap’s model of The Red One.
This one has managed to reach the 1,000 supporter milestone on September 28, so it has received a deadline extension of 182 more days. However, new support for the space cruiser has been slow since, only adding twenty new supporters as of this writing, with 239 days to go to reach the 5,000 supporter milestone. It needs an average of about seventeen new supporters a day to reach the next milestone and a little over twenty-one supporters a day to reach the 10,000 supporter mark (with the 182-day deadline extension for 5K supporters added). Will we ever get to build the Red One in LEGO form without hunting down bricks for ourselves? Maybe. Maybe not.
Tyler Clites’ Stitch model is up next.
His articulate model still has plenty of support, currently standing at 2,543 supporters with 349 days left to get to the 5K milestone as of this writing. But despite getting more than halfway to the next milestone and over a quarter of the way to 10K, I can’t help but notice that new support has slowed down considerably since the next Lilo & Stitch-themed product idea coming up came onto the LEGO scene. This model needs somewhat more than seven new supporters a day to reach the 5K milestone, and with the deadline extension factored in, just slightly over fourteen new supporters a day to reach 10K. It’s still feasible—considering Clites’ past history for getting support, he can certainly pull this off again—but he’s going to need to keep building up supporters if his wants his years-long dream of getting a LEGO Stitch model made to become a reality.
(By the way, Tyler, if you ever read this, I want to point out a minor error you’ve made; Stitch’s pawpads are supposed to be the same dark blue color as his nose and the markings on the tips of his ears, his back, and the back of the head. It’s OK if you couldn’t find any circular pieces with the right color when you made this, though.)
Finally, there’s ItsABricksLife626’s model of the Pelekai residence.
This one arrived with a bang when it started back in June. Fans were excited to see Lilo’s house recreated with LEGO bricks in such detail. With 4,498 supporters as of this writing, there’s a very high chance of reaching the 5K milestone with only 490 days to go. When the deadline extension is considered, the idea needs just over eight new supporters a day to reach the all-important 10K mark. But will the ‘ohana’s home see that support in time for the film and franchise’s twentieth anniversary in 2022? Well as long as nobody leaves this one behind or forgotten, we shall see.
That’s the latest on these projects. If you want to see any of these ideas become official LEGO sets, then get over to LEGO Ideas and show your support! After all, you can move a mountain, or make an adorable alien, if you do it “Brick by Brick”. 😜
How far I got during the very short L&S event on Emoji Blitz
Gifs are of the start screen, and the first 2 level’s animation. I didn't get to gif the rest of the map.
Unfornatenly you needed a level 2 Stitch or Lilo to continue playing after the first two levels, so it wasnt really a good event to just ‘jump into’ there was no way to earn the emojis quick with coins.
I did have 200 Gems though from back when I first played this game so I got to buy the L&S only Dimond box and got a Lilo!
This is the event animation for the final screen after a play. Love the hibiscus flowers.
The tenth cousin and first on the "More Cousin Frenzy!” list in Disney Tsum Tsum is... what’s his name, again? Oh, right, Amnesio!
I had hard time figuring out what this experiment was based on the silhouette when I first saw it. I was thinking that those were ears, not Amnesio’s wings.
I’m still struggling through the event as time passes, but I’ve made some progress. I actually recently got my first experiment in the Platinum Pin portion of the event (consisting of the last four experiments). I still have my doubts about beating this thing, but I’m still going to fight for those experiments and that pin.
As you guys may already know by now, I’m playing the Stitch’s Cousin Frenzy! event in Disney Tsum Tsum. First stop is Lilo’s House.
Naturally, Sparky is the first “cousin” to get, considering that he was the first “cousin” that Lilo and Stitch met and reformed.
There are nine “cousins” to collect during the event. Based on the silhouettes, the other eight appear to be Experiment 627, Angel, Gigi, Babyfier, Yang, Slushy, Shortstuff, and Reuben. (What, you’re telling me not to spoil anything? No, it would be a real spoiler if I showed you what all the Tsums look like straight away. Besides, I’ve only got the first three so far.)
