My other attempt of making another book cover of one of my fave drarry fanfics that altered the chemicals in my brain and that is "Harry Potter and the Welcome to the World of Grey and Draco Malfoy and the Path to Paradise". It is so well written and I am such a huge fan of this book as well. I truly enjoyed making this because I wanted to do the traditional book cover by using a book cloth but I wanted to express it in my own way.
I mixed up the black, grey, and white as my palette because as I was going through the fanfic, Harry and Draco were both fighting their own battles and they were trying to navigate what is right or wrong. For Book I, I chose a black smoke because I feel like everything fell apart in Harry's life and everything is in chaos and in Book II it is now white over black as we go through Draco's POV of how they both were able to find happiness and overcome their own demons along the way. I also added like a heartbeat on the spine of book 1 bc i feel like it's the beginning of when a hearbeats for a person or rather it's the beginning of a chapter in Harry's life, and book 2 is an infinity icon because it means forever.
This fic is precious to me and I really enjoyed designing the book covers.
I can't wait to make the typesets as well. In all honesty, I feel like I am rediscovering my hobbies again as I am doing this. Hopefully one day, I can successfully book bind these.
I might make a proper post soon with all the book covers I made with their own breakdown. On to another fanfic that I am going to make my own design.
