Even if that serial killer is from France Ryan could still base a serial killer on the show after him. He's used other real life events and movies for things in the show before and they didn't take place in the same area asylum did.
Yes, this is true but here’s my opinion on the matter. First let’s dissect the original assertion. The visual imagery is taken from Pina Bausch’s work using the work “Duke Bluebeard’s Castle.” This is based on a folktale called “Bluebeard,” which is based on Gilles de Rais. He was actually a confessed child rapist/murderer. Of particular interest was the fact he suspended his victims from a rope so he could ejaculate onto them:

Furthermore he had the bodies burned in his fireplace.
Similarities to this case is to Madame LaLaurie. She also suspended slaves for torture and mutilation although without the sexual component:
"seven slaves, more or less horribly mutilated … suspended by the neck, with their limbs apparently stretched and torn from one extremity to the other",
Note that one major difference between Bausch’s work and that teaser is in the stance of the girls. In the AHS teaser the girls hands go in different directions and one has her hands looking like they’re tied to the back.

In both biographies Gilles de Rais and Madame LaLaurie seem to have a penchant for disembowelment. Also he was said to have been involved in the occult and more contemporary lore for her claims the same:

So while you may see Delphine LaLaurie worshipping the devil on this year’s American Horror Story, the occult and magic have never really been part of her legend, merely the sensationalism around an already brutal story.

Usually the first teaser is the one with the most obvious reference. Last year it was the image of a grey nun going into the woods throwing a bucket of innards. This is obvious.
While Asylum did incorporate Ed Gein, whose crimes were in WI, into Bloody Face and Josef Mengele these elements fit an overall grand theme of abuse of power and human experimentation. My opinion is the more modern “Bluebeard” is rather minor and doesn’t fit into the stated themes of witchcraft and female kinship. He may appear but my sense New Orleans is rich with “true crime” stories that these will be likelier contenders.
I appreciate the research you did and the composition of the post is startling. There is a good point about the particular line from the song used. You had the conclusion at Gilles de Rais and elements of his story will probably weave with Madame Lalaurie. Again this is my opinion of the clues based on my interpretation of the evidence so far.
