The New Gacha Community has really made me aware that there is a hose-drinking, hot dog sandwich-eating, calligraphy-learning, rotary phone-using boomer inside of all of us and we need to actively stamp it out or we will get very annoying very quickly.

The Music Freaks being applauded as a sort of gold standard for animated Gacha content is a lot more relevant to the current community, both because it’s a show with—by Gacha Show standards—pretty long episodes, and because it uses assets from more recent games, but I vividly remember that title being held my Myuxie Saganasi’s endlessly reuploaded I Can’t Decide meme made in Gacha Studio and how everyone was wildly impressed by it (I remember being enthralled that she could make the characters’ hair move, which is a built-in feature in Gacha Club now).

Like I would say that the current community is a lot more mellow (pun partially intended) regarding drama and a lot more firm with their stances (hence why you don’t really see many Best Gachatuber Ever ragebait videos and why Gacha Heat is, to a majority of the community, a negative stain on the reputation we’re actively trying to move past)

Like, I’m not saying it’s perfect now, obviously, but we’ve evolved a lot from wondering if CuteSpud’s Cotton Candy Skies meme was a cryptic notice of her having a terminal illness posted from her deathbed, and I feel like we should acknowledge that progress.
