I decided to try one of those "Shrinky Dink" crafts from a plastic polystyrene (#6) container.
Step 1: Draw a design!
A simple flower pattern made with a compass, and coloured with Sharpies.
Step 2: Bake it at 160C (325F) for 2-3 minutes. Going hotter will cause the plastic to break down and release nasty fumes, don't do that.
Near the end, it curled up on itself so much, so I flipped it over so it could flatten out. It turns out that caused the plastic and the Sharpie to stuck to the pan! And to keep it from properly taking its shape!
It.... didn't work as well as I had hoped, but I know what to do next time!
