Stepping into the dimly lit kitchen, the mutant headed straight for the coffee pot, smiling at the blonde sat at the large island on her way. “Morning.” She croaked, emphasizing her southern drawl. Pouring herself a cup of the hot, dark beverage, she turned to trudge back to the open table, taking a seat upon it herself.  She enjoyed these quiet moments in the morning, before the younger students woke up...before most woke up in all honesty.  Being a bit of a loner, it was comfortable for her.

“  who did this to you?  ”

“Nature.” She offers a soft smile, “I’m not injured-- so I do apologize if I concerned you with my visage.” It wasn’t hard to think she had been hurt with the the raw flesh that draped from her stomach. She uses a hand to brush at what had looked like shreds of muscle-- but upon closer inspection are various sizes of tentacles. A gentle smoothing and she looks totally normal. “I was trying to hold them back-- I did what I could. Perhaps you’ll do better then I-- or perhaps we could work together.”

Checking him out? That made Tim curious, after all as far as Tim was considered, she was the arm candy of their pairing.  Illyana had a point though, the two of them seemed to be drawing a bit more attention than one trying to get intel should be. He turns back to the blonde speaking softly and pull her close. “Quick- act like I said something funny.”
