java edition no longer has multiplayer. yup. literally just a few weeks after adding it, they removed it.

okay, i'm like, simplifying the explanation heavily to the point of error (intentionally, 'cause it's funny), but that genuinely does suck. the way multiplayer currently """"""works"""""" on there is genuinely ridiculous and atrocious.

anyway, java edition now also has superflats for all dimensions, which is close to how superflats worked on the legacy console editions, but not quite the same. also, the option apparently "isn't available in the menu by default"? under what circumstances is it available then?????

java edition beds are now slightly bouncier to match bedrock edition beds. had no idea they were even slightly different but i guess this is a good change. if for no other reason than i like when bedrock edition is represented.

also, they added a texture without bumping the minor resource pack version, which is literally, explicitly, the one thing the minor version exists to denote. (i'm pretty sure this texture is another duplicate also, because java edition apparently can't get enough of those)

holy fuck end portals and gateways have item models now?? i mean, it'd be more interesting if they had block models (or if they weren't a special model type), but still cool, i guess.

interestingly, the new end portal model has side geometry, which its normal model (and also the nether portal model, which is also shown in the clip) doesn't (on java edition).

insert acknowledgement that they already have item models on bedrock edition, albeit different ones.

yayy baby undead no longer have ridiculously oversized heads! i feel like the contrast on the textures could do with some work, but that's true of all the new babies.

also, they're making breaking changes in minor versions again aaaaaaaaa!!!!!
