ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
After a little over one year in play, from beginning to end, the Limerence MMBC is complete. It’s been my biggest Bacheloret Challenge-based project, the one I’ve put the most hard work into, and by far my The Sims work with the largest and best reception. So much has spawned from this that I could never have even pictured happening when I began it. Lidon/Quartz sprung from this. The Ostkaka BC and Meredith Lane sprung from this. Vespa Romero sprung from this. The increase in IC Simblr roleplay blogs sprung from this. The backbone of the Underworld, first planted in the Ewart BC, grew still further from this. Even the Hawthorne MMBC, with all of its winners and losers and development thereof, came about because of this, however tangentially. Just - this whole thing has been amazing from start to finish, even if I didn’t realize just how much so at the time. And it couldn’t have come about without all of you.
First: a huge thank you to @mercurypixels for Laurel Forest. You mentioned that this is the first time you’ve ever won anything, and I am so so pleased that I can be the one to provide you with that inaugural victory, especially with someone as sweet and as intelligent as Laurel. Amelia has already reached you; and I swear, once I get a bit more free time, I will get the poses you requested to you also. I haven’t forgotten about those.
Thank you to littlesimshoppe for Nora Luck Bloom. While I was and still am sorry to see you go, the backstory you provided generated so much mileage when it came to seeing her manipulated and played by Amelia, particularly in conjunction with facts and spontaneity provided by the Sims in the next bullet point. In the end, Nora was a joy to write.
Thank you to the 12 other competitors, and their Sims thereof - @rosessupposesmanythings for Neon Phosphor, @cookiehorse for Rosy Cinnamon Twist, @simspirationsimplicity for Clarke Burritt, @mylovelycandysims for Pacifica Pines, @littlemicrocosims for Virgo Posset, @berriesandbrownsugar for Lidon Butler, @baste-god for Reef Seamount, @tosimornottosim for Rose Quartz Ostkaka, @simsplyirresistible for Mercury Lust, @nerdupthesims for Poppy Citrus, @yoongisims for Sunflower Donovan, and @francothecitysimmer for Cecily Medicinski. Regardless of the impact they made, regardless of if they will return prominently in the long run, your Sims were just as critical to making this MMBC what it was as any murderer, winner, or Amelia.
An extra dose of thanks goes to @rosessupposesmanythings, for helping to give me the push and encouragement I needed to start making poses for my own self from scratch. …that was you, right? I’m pretty sure that was you. Thanks also goes to the other individuals who made poses that I used; I can only hope I credited all of you adequately this time.
Thank you to everyone who liked, reblogged, and supported the posts within the MMBC, however frequently. Thank you for your watching, patience and patronage, if you will.
Thank you to everyone who provided emotional and mental support to me behind the scenes, especially when I was particularly distressed over a death or a challenge. This includes Vidcund, @sevenleafsimblr (for whom I’m only sorry it couldn’t also participate), @littlemicrocosims, and Jaime. Jaime, in particular and as I’ve stated repeatedly, was there in person to see me make Amelia and helped me with their physical design; without her, there literally would not be an Amelia, leastwise not the one you know. Thank you, love dove.
Thank you to my 311 followers, and to people who don’t follow, alike. Thank you to everyone who believed in me, stood by me, read, enjoyed, flailed, got slain by feelings, generated hype, and … thank you for you. Thank you for everything.
So, what’s next for SocialJusticeSimblr? Two legacies, is what’s next, one intensive, and one slightly less so. The less-so one will star - who’s surprised - Lidon and Quartz, in an AU where neither of them fall to Amelia’s machinations. But firstly and most prominently, what of Amelia and Laurel themselves? Where can they go now that they are dead?
… Well, there’s a reason the The End pop-up said what it said. There’s a reason I’ve delayed the uploading of this epilogue for a little while. It’s so that I could make some headway in my STBL edits without leaving all of those ‘canon’ Underworld-based blogs like Bianca’s and Castor’s waiting for the events that occur the second they set metaphorical foot in the Underworld.
Or their facsimile of it.
On Wednesday the 15th of June, it comes to pass.
