All done. Three little tray liner things, it's the sewing project I've been working on lately and I'm pretty damn proud now they're finished. It's clear I winged it, but I'm happy with how they look and they'll stop my little heart bowls sliding all over the place.
While pinning this skirt, I realised something.
Something my maths whizz mother probably should have seen when she was sort of arguing with me about a certain stitch on machines (it's an overlock stitch, my machine doesn't have the foot for it - the closest function wise would be using the double needle that does a hen like the bottom of things like t-shirts. She's adamant it's not an overlock stitch despite showing me an example that QUITE CLEARLY has been done on an actual overlocker.)
Circle skirt. Turned up two inches.
Circle.
.......
Big hem folded up to less big hem, more fabric than a straight up turn up.
Hopefully I can just... Do a series of tiny tacking stitches? And let the excess just sorta chill? Or I sew from nearly back round to nearly back and do a sorta fold tuck kinda thing to pick up the excess where any extra bulk is gonna be not noticed anyway.
Or maybe another solution will occur while I spend the stupid amount of time it takes to do a customs form with the post office tomorrow - while I yet again get informed I could do it at home. Yes, am sure I could, but I don't have a printer so just do your job and fill in the bigass label in your little system cause this fucker is already gonna arrive like a fortnight late.
Coming soon to Patreon shop.
So, my haul package that's been lost in transit for nearly a month randomly showed up. It turns out I'm an idiot and bought a duplicate tote bag of one I got early last year (I may have a tiny issue with massive deal shopping, sue me) so, naturally... Gonna stitch the fuck out of it 😈 maybe use some of my pretty but short trims/ribbons for finishing the pockets idk really yet.
The bag:

Yes, I did sew lacy fake cuffs for jumpers and stuff. Let's see if I actually muster the balls to wear them.
Attempting to anything with fake nails is....oh no. And it's not like they're scary long I just apparently really used to living with nubbins. I got a bunch to try, and they're the adhesive cushion ones rather than glue, but feel like it just puts emphasis on my hobbit hands. Like old man chunky boy hands? 🤣 Maybe I should just stick to natural where they're BARELY long enough to do the lil white bit at the tip? Also, doing the second hand was a nightmare with the nails on holy shit.
I have made a HUGE mistake. Cause I'm super proud of these lil trinkets... But if I post them anywhere, it'll totally ruin the surprise. I cannot be normal and hold onto these quietly till winter, not a chance - just gonna have to be for it's birthday instead. It's the only way 🤣 as if I needed an excuse to post more stuff abroad. Who are we kidding, I can call it birthday but it's a flimsy excuse for my magpie behaviour.
Anna, shoo! Everyone else, come magpie under the read more 😎
