The sometimes messy journey of self-growth and 'discovering' myself in my 30s as a chronically ill divorcée living very rural with my mother and her dog who has deemed me "spare human/thumb equipped puppy". Ended up saying fuck it and rolling with the new graphics in the simple style I was messing around with. Did groceries - super late cause why have enough vans for your drivers. Also, an Amazon package for ma and now one of mine seems to be stuck in a "delayed in transit" loop where it says out for delivery all day then delayed in transit at like 8pm.

Early night since there's a long charity stream on Saturday, gotta "save up" some rest before then. Tomorrow is a day for cleaning - even if I only get dusting and the rig done, they REALLY need done.

I'm just sat here, post skin care IPL and light/electro therapy, relaxing with some lemon tea and staring at the month's WoW events while trying to get myself into something like a routine.

Everyday, something lights up as relatable that makes me think neurospicy was a very accurate description of myself cause... who knows what but something is a bit wonk in there.

Wow, it's starting early this year. The influx of film-weirdos who seem to think Summerisle was a real place.

Set location? Nah, it's a holiday rental now, furnished like someone speed ran an IKEA. Festival of the same name? No more. Other filming locations? Well I hope you rented a car because "next town over" isn't walkable to (speed, space or legality) and good luck finding a bus to get there since it may say it's coming but that's often a lie.

Also, no, you don't need to rent a boat to get to the isle of [redacted], it's attached, just fucking drive - and yes, that 'single track road' is two directions and technically national speed limit, good luck and keep left.

I took my notion watchlist and noted where I can see everything and then spent time throwing that into a table sorted by platform.

I also cuddled the dog for a straight half an hour.

I'd say that's fairly productive, yes. Seconded by the doggy. Given I've been on the cusp of a migraine all day (the rescue med has kept it at that bit nauseous bit smelling smoke bit worse head pain than the regular headache - so not tipping into what I'd class in the diary as a migraine even though neuro would probably say it is. it's better than it was, that's all I'm concerned with.)

Also, the pure joy of realising others are old enough/have been mod-ing on twitch long enough to remember pre-mod-dashboard and tools. Hell, even the pre-clips era.

Not to be that money grubbing bastard, but considering what dad has sent for Xmas and my birthday these last few years (probably trying to avoid us getting taxed on it if he dies tbh) ... Really hoping he stays true to form cause it would clear my debt and with ma ratcheting up my anxiety with her constant reminders about Seeing The Light... Could really use that breathing space rn.

I can achieve it myself, slower, but by fuck having one less worry on my plate would be really helpful.

Gonna knuckle down and get some more designs in the storefront, work on listing my physical crafts in the patreon shop - hopefully that brings in a bit extra.

I used to sorta stream on the Xbox, and now my rig could handle digital art streaming as well as WoW... Would it be daft to try? Am I just knee jerk reacting to the sting of past buds now like all doing so fucking well in digital content creation?

I'm mic-less till after summer anyway so.. do I just have the program set up and let myself fuck around with graphics in the meantime rather than pushing myself into adding Another Thing onto my plate?

Plus, ma is doing her 'end is nigh' thing (aka her bad feelings before folk die) and it's got my STRESSING so.. existential crisis time does tend to follow that.
