       “tony.” it’s not the first time that he’s seen the other like this. and knowing what today is for tony, well, it doesn’t make it any better. “why don’t i take you to my apartment, and you can stay there until you start thinking clearly. besides, i got something for ya’ anyways.”

       it was bound to happen at some point --- or perhaps that’s not entirely true. new york city is giant. any one of them could have gone MONTHS without running into tony, or the others --- are they here as well ( && then she wonders how rhodey is doing ) ??  

        ❛ well. fancy running into you here. ❜ she purses her lips, shuffles uncomfortably where she’s planted, and faces tony with little more than a weary smile. this is all getting very tiresome and she worked for s.h.i.e.l.d for five years --- the epitome of exhausting.
