A Railhead Treatment Train stands in the centre tracks used for freight at Lincoln Central. It arrived from the Grimsby direction, before reversing back out the way it came on 16th October 2014.

Here the spotters are able to roam free as nature intended; cameras-whirring from first light, corned-beef sandwich protecting cling-film flapping gaily in the breeze. Their perch of choice is Platform Four. It heaves with spotters, like Guillemots on a North Sea cliff they congregate on mass, nests of fold-out chairs and thermos flasks.
