I'm of the opinion that if DA4 is doomed, it was doomed from the start. And if it's not doomed, they were always going to make it anyway. I feel like supporting Anthem when I don't want to play it AT ALL is a waste of my money and would send the erroneous message to EA that they were right and the public just wants multiplayer-only games.
I don’t necessarily disagree with the sentiment, but unfortunately that’s just how the games industry functions sometimes. Mass Effect: Andromeda performed poorly compared to previous Bioware games and didn’t even deliver any DLC content. If Anthem performs poorly as well, EA might decide that Bioware isn’t worth the investment. I certainly hope not, but it is a possibility.
That said, obviously I’m not saying anyone should waste their money if they straight up don’t want to play Anthem. But what I am saying is that it could absolutely have a negative impact on the future of Bioware as a studio if Anthem doesn’t perform as well as EA hopes.
EA doesn’t care about what the public wants. EA cares about making money.

I have to admit, one of the reasons I’m excited to finish is so I can throw myself into fandom completely, and consume all of the tasty content I keep seeing on my dash.
Can you please tag your MEA things, even if it's little stuff like... say, Zaeed's son? Cuz now I know that's a thing... I don't want to know any of it cuz spoilers really ruin my enjoyment of games and I've got so many tags blacklisted, but they kinda don't help if things aren't tagged.
OH RIGHT SORRY sometimes when I’m on mobile and I don’t have my auto-tagging extension, it slips my mind... but don’t worry about that!!!! He’s just a sidequest NPC that appears for like two lines, not at all plot-relevant, just a random dude in the desert with the last name “Massani” who tells you to go kill kett. Really, it’s not much of a spoiler at all. More of an Easter egg.
But yes, I understand, I’m the same way with spoilers and I try to tag (I too have everything blacklisted, I too ignore any and all information, again I only know that people are far ahead because I was on mobile), that was an honest mistake.

My older brother was more into it than I was back in the day, but it's really nostalgic for me still even if I don't remember a lot of what happened. But I definitely remember Rick and Lisa and Max.
Ah, I was the perfect age to be utterly won over by it. I remember being devastated when Roy Fokker died (characters never died in cartoons! not for REAL!). I was so pleased a few years ago to find a DVD collection of the whole series. Plus, the guy who did Max’s voice, Cam Clarke, is still doing VO work to this day! (He was also Leonardo on the original TMNT, ok I’ll really stop babbling now)
