Sirius Black (from the Harry Potter books).... because you seem to have this affinity towards people struggling with their own dark side XD (this is just from on top of my head and not very well thought through...)

Ah, that's an interesting one! I can't say I know enough about the HP world to ever pull off writing a character well, but I always did like him, and he would be interesting to play. I never really got into the Marauders-era side of the fandom, but if I had, I imagine he would've been my favourite (not least because I find the rest of them a bit insufferable--except maybe James, he seems a bit like the kind of twatface arrogant boy I like xD). I'd make the correction that I like characters who have a dark side that they're completely blind to and will fiercely deny at all costs, but will be pushed to in extremes... maybe Sirius fits that description though.

Thank you so much all of you, between this and that great fic that Jess submitted I'm just having a lot of warm fuzzy feelings right now even though my exam didn't go as well as I would have liked. STILL, I've got one tomorrow and the day after and then I'm free for a bit before more so I guess I should just concentrate on that. All my love to all of you and good luck with whatever exams/study/other stuff you have too!

Just imagine; Fingon writing (tear-smudged) letters to Maedhros in Himring, begging him to visit and telling him how much he misses him, needs to see him again and how it's been too long. Maedhros collecting all of those letters but never replies, being torn between giving in to the pleading and his duty as lord.

"A king does not beg." 

Maedhros raises an eyebrow--the one that's permanently split down the center, interrupted by a ridged scar. "'I have never needed aid so desperately,'" he quotes. Fingon isn't proud that he remembers writing that, and his cheeks are already a dark pink. "'You are needed.'" 

"I had to phrase it diplomatically," Fingon replies. 

Maedhros leans forward slightly. "I brought you three thousand of my reserve cavalry." 

"And you didn't answer my letter." 

"--Because I was hastening to your aid with three thousand of my reserve cavalry." 

They remain immovable for a moment, until Fingon lets out a breath. "You were supposed to read between the lines," he sighs. There's now more cavalrymen and horses than they have room for in the fortress, which is at least as encouraging as it is problematic. 

"It seemed very direct." Then Maedhros glances around; seeing no one near, he touches his hand to Fingon's arm. "I could not have ridden alone, so maybe it is best you tried to be diplomatic. I persuaded Macalaurë that you might even be wounded." 

Fingon decides it might not be a good idea to mention that that is, in fact, the truth, so he straightens to hide the slight hunch to his shoulders. "I'm glad you're here," he states instead, voice quiet. 

Maedhros relents. "So am I," he admits, and risks a kiss to Fingon's temple.

Set shortly after the arrival in Beleriand, when there're still hope. Fingon has a nightmare about how things might go wrong, the Silmarils getting lost, and himself losing everyone he holds dear ending up all alone (lineargreen)

The sheets were tangled around Fingon's legs when he woke with a start, and though he couldn't say for certain, the rub in his throat suggested he might have cried out. No one had come running, at least, though Fingon realised he might not have minded if they had, embarrassment notwithstanding. 

His dream had been dark; creatures with fangs, claws, scarred and mottled skin in great swarms, burning and cutting as they swarmed over green hills. 

But that had not been the worst of it.  

It might have been Ungoliant, the dark hulking mass that followed even when the dream changed scenes; it might have been Melkor. But the spots of light had dropped out, one by one, just as his siblings and cousins and father and friends were overtaken by the black tide. 

Fingon was sweating, and so he kicked the sheets away. They were a comfort after so long suffering on cold icy ground, but the last thing he wanted at the moment was to feel trapped under their grasp. 

On one hand, it was just a dream. He had been aware of that even as it played out. But that had not made the scenes any less upsetting, nor given him any power to stop their onslaught. Passing a hand over his face, Fingon forced himself to take a breath--he was still alive, his father was still alive. One of his brothers was alive, and most of his cousins. 

Maybe it would not hurt to make sure, however. Fingon reached for his boots, discarded on the floor the night before, then his dressing-gown. That would suffice for now.

"More of Maglor with his other brothers, yes please." I'm a Maglor nerd, so the chance it would happen isn't even that slim :'D

I’m glad! I honestly adore his relationship with Maedhros but sometimes I really would like to read about/see him potrayed with his younger brothers. There was a wonderful fic with him and Caranthir, I should hunt it down and reblog it. But yes, I do hope you’ll draw more of him with other people! Your art is really, really good.

Yeah, I hope so too.

I've heard that other people had the same complaints about that company too and that someone actually had a mental breakdown because of it, so I hope I don't have to be there too often.
