She holds him close without a desire to let go. Fingers comb through silky, violet tresses. "It's going to be all okay, Garry..." Comes a reassuring whisper, an attempt to ease the tension in upon his slumbering visage. "Even if the world turns against you, I am by your side. You never have to be scared again. So -- dream sweet... Nothing can get you. Not now, not ever. I promise."
Her words pierce through whatever fears had enshrouded him; tormenting and just as terrifying as they were when wandering through Guertena’s gallery. He can hear them still, the shrill cries of paintings dripping from their dusty frames, the feeling of dread coursing through him with every hesitant step taken. These images are vivid still, and every night Garry prays they won’t be as horrifying as the last. He’s never been lucky, Garry knows that, but this time there’s a difference. He has arms to cradle him in the dark, once absent, now, he dares not try and think of being alone again. It’s the one voice he yearns to hear every waking moment, a voice which has proven aplenty of times that it can calm his shaking nerves, no matter what the nightmare holds. His fear lasts only for a split second this time and a smile reaches to his face, small, but eternally grateful. Limbs find themselves entangling with hers --- he feels so lucky in this very moment.“ ----- Fey,” Garry utters in response with a small voice, his eyes opening more so to find hers, fingers reaching to smooth along her jaw. Yes, he is safe and in the arms of the one person he’ll gladly seek shelter with. He’ll ask nothing of her; he’s also lucky in knowing she’ll give more than he expects. Still, with the everlasting guilt that continues to spread, he can only utter another apology, feeling he needs to do so in return for her love. “I apologize... I didn’t want to bother you with this...” Truly, Garry feels rather ashamed of himself. Useless. Dead weight. Fey has never left him though, despite all this. Here she stays, and for once Garry allows himself to be a little selfish. “ ----- You’re giving me more than I could ever ask for... I am so lucky.” His fingers move to return the motion, threading through long locks, a loving gesture to prove further of his love and gratefulness. “Thank you Fey... once again, you’re here. I trust you.”
