He blinked, slowly looking to the side as utter confusion drew his brows together as he stared at her for a long moment. Mind trying to figure out where such a statement even came from before giving up entirely. There was just no point in trying to figure out what went through a females mind, especially one as bubbly as she was. As if she'd been born from a piece of sunshine, the girl's presence was one that couldn't easily be ignored, though he was trying his best at the moment. Which had also clearly failed. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
* she felt green, which is a dreadful color on her, if she was being honest. there was something about jumping through time, surely, that left one feeling — queasy. faint. she has been stuck in the past for weeks, now, but every so often something [ . . . ] hits her. shifts. her world gets tilted off axis, and asami is helpless to do anything but ride it out.
it's how she finds herself here, fingers digging into concrete wall as she supports herself against the side of a building. " eugh. " it's her only thought, right now. this feeling of vertigo nearly sweeps her off her feet. " you want a sprite ? you look kinda green. " @linghung had said, and it had taken asami a moment to blink her vision to normal. for a moment, there are duplicates of the man standing before her, but as her vision settles, he, too, settles into just one. asami blinks for good measure, but he stays the same.
" i — it'll pass. i'm just [ . . . ] not feeling well. " she couldn't very well explain her predicament. " do you help all fatigued people on the side of the road ? " an attempt at humor, a show that she was fine. asami tries to stand straight, but her world is still spinning. she needs to get home. " or did i get lucky ? "

❛❛ Bounty hunter, huh? ❜❜ he speaks coolly, eyeing her for all she's worth and at odds what exactly that is. her reputation serves her well, that's for sure, if you go by the shaken whispers and intrigued glances her way. she strikes FEAR into this company all around. she's also made a show of mastering game of strategy and a dash of luck. he could almost respect her. never will, though, as long as he knows bounty hunters will sell their loyalty in exchange for some gold and not blink twice. ❛❛ how does one even get into that? ❜❜
by now, she's gotten over the fact that her bending will always remain weak. it's never been her strong, and she's fine with it. there are other, arguably more useful skills she possesses ― weaponry, thievery ― she's never really felt like she's missing out on much. yet, there is still that childhood dream of her becoming a good bender &&. finding a teacher willing to help her. [ not that she's actively looking for one, because where is she supposed to find one anyway if she isn't willing to go to the poles? ] so when she runs into an actual waterbender, she's curious, &&. for once in her life, she throws caution to the wind as she approaches the woman standing near a river, manipulating the water in ways she's never seen before. ❛ how did you do that? and can you perhaps show me? ❜

@linghung starter for Ty Lee!
One of the contacts for the White Lotus had long ago retired to Ember Island. Leaving them difficult at times to contact due to how far into the Fire Nation the island was located. Even Piandao was easier to contact then them, thus he'd been sent to deliver the message from Iroh to ensure that it didn't fall into the wrong hands. His mixed heritage and ability to bend fire making him the perfect one to send since there would be no suspicion.
What he'd not expected, while enjoying a drink at one of the various bars along the sprawling beach packed with vacationers, was to spot the royal siblings and their friends. Watching for a moment before turning back to his drink and taking another sip of the spicy alcoholic beverage.
Mind drifting in thought until he sensed a body slip into the space between his end seat and the bar, clearly there to order something he assumed. Gaze flicking to the side to realize it was one of the friends of the Princess. His attention flicking over her for a moment about to dismiss her when he noticed a male about to make a physical move. One he'd noted the last two days had a tendency to act first and ask for permission later.
Swiviling in his chair he locked his gaze with the other, voice flat and expression cooly void of emotion. "Touch another female without permission and I'm going to answer your question from yesterday as to why I carry three swords."
@linghung asked: [ needs ] sender asks receiver what they need / from katara !
muscles ached with every motion, and suki grit her teeth against the pain. unlike the others, she could not cushion her tumbling with a puff of air or pulse of fire. when she hit the ground, she hit hard - and sometimes, it was hard enough to bruise. hard enough to leave her aching and wincing every time she raised her arm too high or started to laugh.
normally, she would have toughed it out. but with katara, maybe she didn't have to.
"actually... i think my ribs are a little bruised." suki confessed, gesturing to her left side with a visible wince. "do you think you could work some of that waterbending magic on me? just a little... just so i can sleep tonight?"
@linghung asked: ❛ this day feels like it's never gonna end. ❜ / from aang ?
"tell me about it." suki sighed, heaving her shoulders with so much drama, she could have put the ember island players to shame. she tugged at the grass beneath her, ripping out the strands and winding them around her fingers, hoping that would keep her entertained a little longer. the two of them had already tried what felt like everything... sparring, telling jokes, sharing stories, and trying to catch spider bats. and still, the sun had not set and the others had not returned.
an idea struck her then, expression of boredom morphing to one of mischief. "i have an idea... what if we pulled a prank on sokka?"
