He is a native English speaker teaching in northern Colorado, though I'm not sure where he's from originally.

I'm going to pay some more attention to when and how he does it and get back to you. I'd just never heard of a dialect of English that does that.

Yes, please! I’ve heard of Deacon’s thoughts but only second-hand (and usually that ‘hand’ has a Chomskyan perspective).

Alright! The book is pretty hefty, so I understand that for some people, reading the entire thing might be a great task to undertake before they even know the basic premise.

I think that would be really interesting, though obviously having a broader knowledge base = more ability to make fun graphics?/leasthelpful

Yeah, definitely! :D I think I'll probably do some other research and see what linguists say about Deacon and his work... I was more wondering if the tumblr-linguists had an opinion.
