New toys and bringing back old school banner link exchange!
So a few months back, I purchased an inexpensive airbrush off Amazon. This is something I’ve been wanting to buy for a number of years, and have experimented in the past with various projects (including one body-painting session for a costume contest) but nothing that I would call considerable experience.
Since purchasing it, I’ve done some specific details on conventional paintings and done some painting work on some resin casts, but I just recently committed myself to doing an entire painting with the airbrush and nothing else.
And who better to make my first fully-airbrush painting a tribute to than H.R. Giger?
It did take a little bit to get the hang of the viscosities and pressure and distance from the surface, but overall I’m pleased with it, approaching an obsession with starting the next piece (that will likely have to wait until after I’m moved to the new dwelling and studio)
